01:17Wrestling fans, their opponents from the WCW Special Forces, Todd Champion, Firebreaker Chip, they are the Patriots.
01:31Tonight on World Championship Wrestling here on TBS, in a semi-final event, it will be the Patriots taking on Anderson and Zbysko, the Enforcers.
01:43There's Chip, the Firebreaker, along with Todd Champion. The winner of tonight's event on WCW will advance to the finals against Bill Kassmeyer and Rick Steiner.
01:55That will be held, of course, on live television here on TBS, Thursday, September 5th at the Clash of Champions.
02:05But just as importantly, the loser of tonight's match on World Championship Wrestling goes right back down to the bottom of the ladder where they started.
02:14So it's not just a must-win situation tonight, it's a can't-lose situation for both the Enforcers and the Patriots.
02:23Bill Alfonso, the referee, waiting for all the combatants to get ready, escape from their ring attire.
02:40Well, I bet this guy's real happy to be a wrestler. Can you imagine just spending your whole day sitting around a firehouse?
02:47I think it probably would be a pretty fun situation, actually, to be a fireman. Exciting and fun, and they do a lot of good for people.
02:57Could do without the brave men and women that fight fires.
03:03Crossbody press by Big Todd Champion, and Black Bart able to free himself there.
03:10Well, Black Bart has a lot to lose. He's the last of a dying breed, the last desperado.
03:16And Todd Champion is in there with a real ring-wise veteran, and he has to be very, very careful because one mistake against Black Bart and the match will be over.
03:25Remember later in the program, Rick Steiner and a mystery partner will take on the Hardliners.
03:31And we're not talking about the guys that tried to overthrow Gorbachev either. We're talking about Murdoch and Slater, the Hardliners from WCW.
03:39And also, Terrence Taylor will take on the Yellow Dog. Dustin Rhodes is here. New feature here this morning, Missy Does the Mail.
03:49The Enforcers take on Robert Gibson, the Z-Men. It's going to be a great program.
03:54And the Patriots dominating the early going here, Paul.
04:00Oh, they certainly are dominating the early going, but once again, you know, it's a 15-minute time limit on the match.
04:06And Black Bart really knows what he's doing, and he's taking this kid, Richard Myers, underneath his wing.
04:12And if Black Bart can dictate the pace, Black Bart and Richard Myers have more than a long shot of winning this match.
04:24I kind of feel sorry for Todd Champion, though.
04:28Why's that?
04:29Oh, he's a soldier without a war to fight in.
04:32Well, he'll be in a war tonight. You can count on that.
04:36Against the Enforcers in that big matchup, semifinal event, as the muscular Chip the Firebreaker in there.
04:46Myers, not very effective with his chops, but Chip is showing a lot of offense and a lot of power.
04:55Bag made. Here comes big Todd Champion.
04:57This kid's about 6'4", maybe 6'5". I would say 275, 280-pound range. Big athlete.
05:05Vertical suplex. He's really got this kid up in the air.
05:09Nicely done by Todd Champion.
05:12And he let him think about it before he drove him down into the mat.
05:17That's very intimidating, and now Myers is still thinking about what he just went through, only to suffer this.
05:27He's got him in a fireman carry position, no pun intended.
05:31Look at the great strength of Chip.
05:34It's like climbing a ladder.
05:37Falls back on him.
05:39Champion nails Black Bart, and the Patriots have won.

06:39In just a few moments, we'll be traveling to the ring to see Johnny B. Badd in one-on-one competition.
06:45But tomorrow night at 8 o'clock in Atlanta's Omni, Johnny B. Badd will enter a single-elimination tournament with 10 other athletes.
06:52The winner will be the United States Heavyweight Champion.
06:54And, Paul, we won't know the pairings until tomorrow night, right before match time.
06:58And that's to Johnny B. Badd's favor, because Johnny B. Badd is primarily a boxer.
07:02So everybody's preparing for wrestlers or brawlers or fighters.
07:05Who's going to have to prepare for the boxer? Nobody knows.
07:08And Johnny B. Badd is also a southpaw.
07:10That also gives him advantage tomorrow night.
07:12Tomorrow night in the Omni, Johnny B. Badd could conceivably become the next United States Heavyweight Champion.
07:17We want to remind the fans that tickets for that big event in the Omni will be on sale all day today at all Ticketmaster outlets.

09:43And don't be misled by his flamboyant demeanor because he is a very, very accomplished athlete.

14:07And ladies and gentlemen, their opponents.
14:10Introducing first, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing 251 pounds, The Z-Man.
14:22And his tag team partner, Pensacola, Florida, 234 pounds, Robert Gibson.
14:32As a little bit later in the broadcast, we're going to be telling you more about the Bruce Crews.
14:38And we'll have more on that, of course, tonight as well.
14:40I know The Z-Man has signed up to go.
14:43So ladies, there will be a lot of very eligible bachelors from WCW,
14:50including The Z-Man, that will be on that cruise.
14:54Should be a lot of fun in all seriousness.

15:00Should be a lot of fun a little bit later this year.

15:09Well, I'm really excited about this matchup.
15:11The slickest and the quickest in Gibson and The Z-Man
15:14against the roughest and the toughest in The Enforcers.
15:17And The Enforcers tonight going against the Patriots in the semifinals.
15:21Another can't-lose situation for Anderson and Zbysko.
15:25Zbysko starting off very quickly here.
15:27And The Z-Man in to intervene.
15:30Robert Gibson, who's got vast experience as a tag team wrestler,
15:34elevates Larry Zbysko.
15:37Z-Man hammers away at Anderson.
15:40And this match certainly is not starting as, wait a minute,
15:44as Anderson and Zbysko would want.
15:47Got him in the leg.
15:48He got him right in that knee.
15:50The steel chair caught Gibson right in that damaged knee.
15:54Even though he's been through rehabilitation,
15:57the knee may never be 100% again.
16:02Oh, not if Anderson and Zbysko have anything to do with it.
16:05They'll try to end his career.
16:07These guys are vicious, they're ruthless,
16:09and they want the world tag team title.
16:14We saw how the Enforcers defeated the Young Pistols a few weeks ago
16:20in the world tag team tournament.
16:24Basically the same tactics, working on one body part,
16:27then it was the leg.
16:28And, of course, Gibson's situation is very obvious.
16:31He has a damaged knee.
16:37Anderson wraps it around the steel.
16:43And Gibson writhing in pain.
16:48I don't know how much more, quite honestly, he's going to be able to take of this.
16:51Wow, these guys are truly merciless.
16:53I mean, they're showing him absolutely no mercy.
16:56They are willing to end his career just to score a victory.
17:02Continue to work on the leg.
17:05Anderson tags in Zbysko.
17:10They are going to be in a real aggressive frame of mind later today here on television.
17:18I'll tell you what, I'm not taking anything away from Murdock and Slater,
17:21but these two truly are hard liners.

17:46putting tremendous pressure on the knee of Robert Gibson.

20:45This man is exactly what he looks like.
20:50He is the ultimate package, the total package.
20:54When you got that, you don't try to fix it.
20:58You just fine-tune it and go with it.

22:40It'll be on August 25th, the final night of the Great American Match
22:44when that man has the opportunity to realize his dream
22:49to be the best in the world at what he does.
22:52Now, I'm not saying that Simmons doesn't match up the champion.

22:57When it comes to, I mean, just look how thick he is.
22:59Just look how muscular he is.
23:02I think without a doubt.
23:04Oh, that spine buster.
23:06He is so awesome. He wants to be the next world champion.
23:10Ron Simmons looks ready for his matchup tomorrow night at the Omni.
23:14But I have bad news for you, Ron Simmons fans.
23:17He is not going to win, and it's all because of you.

23:25And that's not what it takes to be a world heavyweight champion.
