00:00Last week on WCW Pro Wrestling,
00:03Z-Man, the new world television champion,
00:06made his first title defense a good one
00:07by disposing of Boondog Rex.
00:10Paulie dangerously introduced us to the awesome Minotaur.
00:13Lion Brian continued on his winning ways,
00:16as did the Renegade Warriors in tag team action.
00:18And we got a first-hand look at the new Horseman.
00:21Now, stay tuned for more great action this week
00:23here on WCW Pro Wrestling.
00:30And we begin the program this week with a big announcement.
00:47Ric Flair has regained the world title now for the seventh time.
00:51And I must say, Larry, you eluded that may happen.
00:53You know, I hate to be the one to say,
00:55I told you all so, and I don't have no crystal ball,
00:58but I do have the ability after 15 glorious years, Shabani,
01:01to look at wrestlers and know what man is a real man.
01:05And Flair proved that Sting was the luckiest man in the world for 1990.
01:09Here's a look at who's on the program this week.
01:14All right, Larry, we will see a tag team action,
01:16Blade and Steel, the awesome Astor Blaster.
01:18Ric Steiner's here in singles competition with us.
01:21We'll also see the high flyer, Flying Brian,
01:23as well as a very popular athlete, Terry Taylor.
01:26He'll be with us this week right here on Channel 9.
01:29And then we're going to take our first look at action
01:31at the very mysterious but very big man Minotaur.
01:34And then the Southern boys are with us in tag team action.
01:37All that and more in an interview with the world champion Ric Flair.
01:40Right now, let's go to the ring.
01:42Run Detroit, Michigan, and a combined weight of 619 pounds.
01:46Blade and Steel, the Master Blaster.
01:50I'm looking at an awesome tag team, the Master Blaster.
01:53Both from Detroit, both wanting the Steiners in those U.S. tag team belts.
01:58Let's go back to Tony Gillum in the ring.
02:00In the ring, their opponent, first from Tampa, Florida,
02:02at 224 pounds, Tim Torehouse, Oscar.
02:07And from Rock City at 249 pounds, Scott Allen.
02:11Larry, I guess what's on the mind of everyone right now
02:14is that Ric Flair is the new world champion,
02:15like we said at the time of the program,
02:17and you said that Sting had been the luckiest man in the world.
02:19Well, you know, it's obvious to everybody,
02:21Sting had that James Buster Douglas syndrome.
02:24You know, he came in, took the world championship.
02:27Obviously, it looked like it may have been a fluke here
02:29because Ric Flair regained it.
02:31These Master Blasters, on the other hand,
02:33had that look indicative to 1991.
02:35You know, according to all the statistics,
02:37Tony, it's going to be a record year for murder.
02:40For murder?
02:41For murder.
02:41Well, thank you, Larry.
02:42Larry, I'm in a good mood already.
02:44If the situation around the world isn't enough to depress you,
02:48then you've got to talk about something like that.
02:50Well, I'm not depressed.
02:51I've got a safeguard.
02:52You see that squared circle right there
02:53is a place called Larry Land.
02:55Oh, okay.
02:55Mankind has taken us to the brink of World War III.
02:58I'm going to stay right there when it's nice and safe.
03:01I don't think it's going to be very safe
03:02for Mr. Allen and his partner here.
03:04Not at all.
03:05Because they're up against a couple of the big guys
03:07who've been aggressive off the bat.
03:08We are going to have a little bit later on...
03:11Well, a little reversal move there.
03:13They're tremendous.
03:13Whoa!
03:15Out of the corner with a big clothesline
03:16and down goes Powerhouse Park.
03:18A little bit later on,
03:18Paulie Dangerously will have an exclusive interview
03:20with the new world champion, Ric Flair.
03:22We'll be hearing from that.
03:24And then the weeks to come,
03:25we'll take a look at exactly what happened
03:27at the Meadowlands this past Friday,
03:29a week from yesterday.
03:31You know, Brian, speaking of Ric Flair,
03:33while we're talking about him,
03:35it's an interesting factoid here.
03:37You know, me and Ric Flair have both been wrestling
03:39over 15 glorious years.
03:41And never once has the man had the guts
03:43to get in the ring with him.
03:45Just a factoid.
03:47Well, I'll write that one down, I tell you.
03:48That's, uh...
03:49Put that on CNN News.
03:51Yeah.
03:51Ric Flair never had the guts
03:52to get in the ring with Sabisco.
03:55And let's see what Mr. Allen...
03:57Boom!
03:57You want to be a wrestler.
04:00Power slam out of the ropes.
04:02I'm sure Mr. Ric Flair would be more than willing
04:04to entertain any thoughts that you would have
04:06on going against him in that world title.
04:08What's interesting concept, Kevin,
04:10is I'm really not sitting here
04:11holding a bunch of balloons
04:12watching a parade go by.
04:16Right to the throat now
04:17with a big hand.
04:19We got the break,
04:20but using the shortcuts again,
04:21the big guy,
04:22Sidney's got Allen in.
04:23Here's a double team!
04:24A little teamwork,
04:26and I think Mr...
04:26Oh!
04:27Wow!
04:28Wow, too much of the...
04:29I didn't see that coming.
04:30I'm sure Mr. Allen didn't see that coming.
04:32I'm not so sure if Allen is seeing anything at all right now.
04:35Or if he will remember what happened.
04:37Double team here
04:38out of the three-point stance.
04:40You know, it's interesting, Tony,
04:41because the pain doesn't set in
04:43until about a day after.
04:45Here are your winners!
04:47The Master Blasters!
04:48A lot of pain that time, Larry.
04:49Oh, there goes that.
04:51Yes, sir.
04:52They're taking them both down,
04:53and we're going to let you talk about this.
04:55Well, you know,
04:55with all my expertise
04:56after all the glorious years,
04:58I would have liked to talk about
04:59some wrestling holds,
05:00but I didn't see any.
05:01The Master Blasters basically just came in
05:03and beat the heck out of these two guys.
05:06I mean, they're just powerful,
05:07awesome, vicious teams.
05:09We'll see what they do in the future
05:10against wrestlers like the Steiners
05:12and the others,
05:14but they just threw them in.
05:16Double teaming.
05:17You've got, what, 700 pounds?
05:19Boom!
05:20Believe me,
05:21Mr. Allen is going to be
05:22a very sore individual.
05:24The big rematch between Sting and Flair
05:26is tomorrow night

06:28Eight exciting matches
06:29tomorrow night,
06:30the UIC Pavilion
06:31in Chicago.
06:32Ladies and gentlemen,
06:46from Detroit,
06:46Michigan,
06:47at 260 pounds,
06:49one of the United States
06:50tag team champions,
06:52Rick Stina.
06:54And in the ring,
06:59here's the winner
07:00from Victory,
07:01Kentucky,
07:01at 269 pounds,
07:03Butch Sample.
07:05Well, the next guy
07:06to inhabit Larry Land
07:10is Rick Steiner
07:12in singles competition.
07:13You know,
07:13Chief Jay Strongwell
07:14used to have a quote years ago,
07:16this guy's so ugly,
07:16he's cute.
07:17I think maybe that's
07:18some of the reasons
07:19that people like Rick Steiner.
07:20However, I tell you,
07:22this man is a great
07:23wrestler and a great athlete.
07:25Anybody gets in the ring
07:26with Rick Steiner
07:27and does not give that credit
07:28is going to be in
07:30for a big surprise.
07:31Well, Larry, you know,
07:32I know two men
07:34who do not like
07:35Rick Steiner at all.
07:37They're the men
07:37we saw earlier on.
07:38They're the master blasters.
07:39Standing by with some comments
07:40right now.
07:44Rick Steiner?
07:45Yeah, we heard tonight
07:46that your brother Scott
07:47is not here.
07:48That doesn't matter.
07:50We're going to come down
07:50and smack both of you
07:51in the face.
07:52We're going to come
07:53and smack you
07:53in the face.
07:54What do you say?
07:55Let's get him.
07:57Well, apparently,
07:58they're going to make
07:58their way down
07:58the ringside here.
08:00Well, it's going to be
08:01two against one,
08:03but like I said,
08:04Steiner,
08:05something that makes you
08:06a tough individual
08:06over the years,
08:07if you've noticed,
08:08is that basically
08:09the tough guys
08:10are the maniacs.
08:11They're the guys
08:12who are ready to snap.
08:13You know,
08:13the men who don't care
08:15if they surpass the limit.
08:17But when you go
08:17to court for brutality,
08:19there's this thing
08:19called excessive force.
08:21When somebody wants,
08:22it's okay
08:23if they're down
08:24and you keep
08:24punching them.
08:25That's a bad thing.
08:26Court's proud on that.
08:27But, you know,
08:28Steiner is one of these
08:29men that if he snaps,
08:30you're going to need
08:31one of them tanks
08:32over in Saudi Arabia
08:33to stop the man.
08:34Rick Steiner,
08:39the dog-faced gremlin
08:40who is in singles competition
08:43right now.
08:43What a tremendous year
08:45he and his brother
08:45had during 1990.
08:47World Tag Team
08:48and U.S. Tag Team Champions.
08:50He slipped under there
08:51and did a real quick
08:52double-rate takedown.
08:54It's basically
08:54an amateur type of...
08:55Okay, here they are.
08:57Here they are,
08:57just like they said,
08:58coming from the back.
09:00Two of us.
09:00You can hear Blade
09:01saying there's two of us
09:02and knowing that
09:03Scotty is not around
09:05and the big guy
09:06still wants Rick Steiner
09:08and apparently Rick
09:08would like to get him
09:09as well.
09:13Rick Steiner is poised
09:15and ready
09:15and the referee
09:16right between them.
09:18Steiner better realize
09:19the man's holding the back
09:20but there's still two of them.
09:21Well, Doug Dellinger,
09:24head of security out.
09:26Other officials
09:27in World Championship
09:28wrestling are out
09:29and finally,
09:31the big guy,
09:32Steele,
09:33has been restrained
09:35and Rick Steiner
09:36with that smile in his face.
09:37He's happy about it.
09:38Like I said,
09:38he's one of those guys
09:39that's got that maniac
09:40to him.
09:42He wants to get to fight.
09:43He loves to fight.
09:44I love to fight.
09:45If I didn't love to fight,
09:46I wouldn't be in Larry Land.
09:48You know, Larry,
09:49I wanted to bring up a point
09:50where you talk so much
09:51about the Steiners
09:51and tag team action.
09:52We're seeing Rick
09:53at singles competition.
09:54Uh-oh, uh-oh,
09:56look at that.
09:58Boy, did that hurt.
09:59You could feel that one.
10:00What a good night, nerd.
10:02And a three count.
10:03I guess I'll get to that
10:03a little bit later on.
10:04Rick Steiner.
10:06I want to see what you think
10:07of maybe his brother Scotty.
10:11Tell him, Rick.
10:12What about his brother Scotty
10:13as we take a look at this?
10:14Going up against Rick Blair
10:15of the World Title.
10:16That's something
10:16that people have talked about.
10:17This is one bad move
10:19right here.
10:20Rick Steiner's brother
10:21going against Rick Blair.
10:22You've got to give Blair credit.
10:24He's one of the greatest.
10:25And it's, uh,
10:26you know,
10:26it's what you do
10:27in the ring at the moment.
10:29You have to be spontaneous.
10:30You can't plan a strategy,
10:31especially against a man like Blair.
10:33You read about it in USA Today.
10:42You saw it on a George Michael sports machine.
10:44If you watch any of the major networks,
10:46you saw it.
10:47It was on CNN.
10:48It was all over every single newspaper,
10:51not just in the United States,
10:53but in the world today.
10:54It made the front page of the newspaper
10:56in Tokyo, in Paris, in London.
10:58And nature boy Rick Blair
10:59on Friday night, January the 11th,
11:02became a seven-time
11:03world heavyweight champion
11:04when he beat Sting
11:06in the Meadowlands
11:07in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
11:08And I have to admit to you, sir,
11:10I know Ted Koppel wants you.
11:12I know Dan Rather wants you.
11:13I am honored
11:14to have you out here
11:15in my presence today.
11:16Well, Pauly,
11:18I love the hot lights.
11:22I love the bright lights.
11:24I love the notoriety.
11:26And I am honored
11:28to be on your program
11:30because there's so many people out there
11:33that are having to sit back
11:35in that chair right now
11:36and say,
11:38geez, he's back.
11:40And boy, does he look good.
11:44Now think about it.
11:45Did you think
11:46I was going to walk off
11:47into the sunset?
11:49Huh?
11:50Well, you're wrong.
11:52I went and got me a haircut.
11:55How do I look?
11:56I had all the women before.
11:57Now I got all the young ones.
12:00Look at it.
12:01I'm Rick Blair.
12:02I'm your
12:03world heavyweight champion.
12:05Sting,
12:06you were great,
12:08but you're not Rick Blair.
12:10And you got beat
12:11by the man
12:12that insists
12:14on victory.
12:15And in the middle of it all,
12:17the New York press,
12:19Japan press,
12:21people from all over the world,
12:23Paulie Dangerously,
12:25Scott Steiner,
12:26walks in,
12:28Lawrence Taylor standing
12:3010 feet away
12:31and starts
12:32and starts
12:32to give me
12:34a little verbal conversation
12:35telling me
12:37he'd like
12:38a shot
12:39at the world title.
12:42But Paulie,
12:43you know what we did?
12:44We got us a match
12:46on national television.
12:49Clash of Champions,
12:50Clash of Champions,
12:51January 30th,
12:52Wednesday night,
12:54CNN Center,
12:55Bright Lights,
12:56Big Cities,
12:57Pretty Ladies,
12:59Atlanta, Georgia.
12:59But most of all,
13:02Scott Steiner
13:03turn
13:05to walk
13:06that out
13:08and see if he can
13:09back up
13:10that big mouth.
13:12I'm telling you,
13:13Steiner,
13:14I'm telling the wrestling
13:15fans worldwide,
13:18and I'm telling Paulie,
13:19you're an overrated
13:21punk.
13:22You don't like
13:23what I got to say?
13:24Then on national television,
13:25January 30th,
13:26shut my mouth.
13:28Take this!
13:30It's the most coveted
13:31trophy in sports.
13:33But remember
13:34to be the man!
13:36You gotta beat the man!
13:38Punch!
13:39Woo!
13:40And Cincinnati, Ohio
13:42at 227 pounds,
13:44Brian Brian!
13:56And entering his opponent,
13:59representing the
13:59State Patrol,
14:00first,
14:01Lieutenant James Earl Rye!
14:05And accompanying
14:05Lieutenant Wright
14:06to the ring,
14:07Sergeant Buddy Lee Barker!
14:09All right,
14:10so Flying Brian now
14:11has his work
14:12cut out for him
14:12going up against
14:13Lieutenant J.E. Wright
14:14in this singles competition,
14:17but Sergeant Parker
14:18down at ringside.
14:18What about the comments
14:19from Ric Flair,
14:20directed, of course,
14:21towards Scottie Steiner
14:21who wants a shot
14:22of that title,
14:22but more importantly,
14:24Ric Flair is confident
14:24as ever back on top.
14:26Well, he should be,
14:27Tony.
14:27I mean,
14:27Flair,
14:28you know,
14:28like myself,
14:28and a couple others,
14:29is one of the greatest
14:30wrestlers,
14:31you know,
14:32alive.
14:33Scott Steiner
14:34has got a big job
14:36because the experience
14:37is something
14:38you cannot learn.
14:40You know,
14:41in fact,
14:41when I was watching
14:42the Flair's interview,
14:43I think that
14:43something in my mind
14:44was after retiring
14:45Sam Martino,
14:47after retiring
14:47Nick Bockwinkle,
14:49third time's a charm.
14:50I retired Ric Flair.
14:52Oh, come on, Larry.
14:52I go down
14:53in the annals
14:53of wrestling history.
14:55You're really
14:56fooling yourself
14:56today,
14:57aren't you?
14:57Like I said,
14:58that place
14:59where we see
14:59these two wrestlers
15:00is called
15:00Larry Land.
15:02Into Larry Land
15:03they go to the
15:03neutral quarter
15:04and Lieutenant Wright
15:05is going right
15:06to the midsection
15:06and sending
15:09the man over
15:11the top.
15:12Nicely done.
15:13the top.
15:14And the
15:15ball by Flair.
15:15Good move.
15:16Tremendous dropkick.
15:18And there you see
15:19Sergeant Parker
15:20with his ticket book
15:21on the outside
15:22talking to his
15:22Lieutenant.
15:24I think
15:25Brian Pillman
15:25caught the man
15:26off guard.
15:27He's very fast,
15:28very athletic,
15:29and like I said
15:30before,
15:31wrestler of the future
15:32right there.
15:32Certainly one of them.
15:34And I'm sure
15:35he appreciates
15:35that.
15:36Talk a little bit
15:37about Rick Steiner
15:38here.
15:38Let me throw
15:39a little education
15:39out.
15:41A pit bull
15:42will beat a German
15:43shepherd every time.
15:44Okay.
15:44You look at guys
15:45like Rick Steiner
15:46or even Rick Flair
15:47and myself
15:47who are six foot
15:49tall at 240 pound
15:50mark.
15:51We've got the
15:52leverage and the
15:52agility.
15:53Brian Pillman
15:54here is going to
15:55have leverage and
15:55agility.
15:56Maybe a few more
15:56pounds.
15:57Up on top.
15:59Two count.
16:00Go ahead and
16:00continue Larry.
16:01Good arm drag.
16:03Just something I'd
16:04throw out comparing
16:05myself to a pit bull.
16:08So you're the
16:09pit bull and
16:10other guys are
16:11like German
16:11shepherds.
16:12Yeah.
16:14I'll write that
16:14one down too.
16:15Glad I got that
16:15one right.
16:17As Lieutenant
16:17Wright and
16:18I'm trying to
16:19figure out what
16:19happened here
16:20because Pillman
16:20had the man in
16:21an arm bar and
16:22it seems the
16:22referee broke
16:23the hole.
16:25I'll write you
16:26a ticket.
16:27Write a ticket
16:28on him,
16:28Lieutenant.
16:30Write a ticket
16:31on him,
16:31Lieutenant.
16:31Well,
16:32that's pretty
16:32good.
16:34And a Rick
16:35to the eyes.
16:38Ryan Bryant
16:38apparently there
16:39was some complaint
16:41from the referee
16:41about pulling the
16:42hair there as
16:43you alluded to
16:43and I don't see
16:44of any hair
16:45that Lieutenant
16:45Wright has to
16:46pull.
16:46I've never
16:47liked referees.
16:48Good move.
16:49Look at that.
16:50Good move.
16:51Head scissors
16:52off of the top
16:53and he takes
16:54him down and
16:55now Sergeant
16:56Parker over
16:56to help him
16:57out.
16:57A good move
16:58on Bryant's
16:59carpet.
16:59When the man
17:00gets back in
17:00the ring,
17:01he's going to
17:02have to stay
17:02busy.
17:02If you can't
17:03do a good move,
17:04pat yourself
17:04on the back
17:04and stand.
17:05He'll
17:06slingshot him
17:07in.
17:07Yes,
17:07sir.
17:08Nicely done
17:08and now
17:09Flying
17:09Bryant's
17:10going to
17:10hit the
17:11rubs.
17:12Showing a
17:12lot of
17:12power from
17:15outside.
17:16And there
17:17you go.
17:17Buddy Lee
17:18Parker
17:18getting involved.
17:20Tripping
17:20up Flying
17:21Bryant.
17:22Apparently
17:24they do.
17:27Right
17:27from behind.
17:30And a
17:31look like a
17:32chokehold applied
17:33here.
17:35You know,
17:38the officer
17:39in the ring
17:40right now,
17:41he's going to
17:41have a chance
17:42of beating
17:42Bryant Tillman.
17:43He's going to
17:43have to stay
17:44on him now.
17:45Lieutenant
17:45Wright will
17:46send him in.
17:47Cheap shot,
17:48but effective.
17:50And a stomp
17:51right to the
17:51chest.
17:52Kick him
17:52when he's
17:52down.
17:53And never
17:53give a sucker
17:54a break,
17:54right?
17:55Well,
17:55you know,
17:55July Chiefs
17:56feel right
17:56a book
17:57like a
17:57villain.
17:57You're
17:57an American
17:58hero.
18:01Now
18:01from behind.
18:05In fact,
18:05the two-minute
18:06unifloor,
18:07I wonder if
18:07they're mad
18:08because they're
18:08not allowed
18:08to have
18:09machine guns
18:09for hunting.
18:10Oh,
18:10for goodness
18:10sakes,
18:11Larry.
18:11Now,
18:12send him in.
18:14He really
18:15did,
18:16and here
18:16we go.
18:17We got a
18:18two-count,
18:18and Buddy Lee
18:19Parker was
18:19trying his
18:20best to stop
18:20the count
18:21on the outside,
18:22and Lieutenant
18:23Wright is
18:23still right up
18:25against Brian
18:25Pillman,
18:26so the member
18:27of the state
18:27patrol doing
18:28quite well.
18:28Coming up.
18:29Boom.
18:30Good suplex.
18:31Well,
18:31you saw that
18:32one coming,
18:32too.
18:33Snap suplex.
18:33We got a
18:34two-count,
18:35Larry Olin.
18:35This is where
18:35the endurance
18:36comes in
18:37because now
18:37after a move
18:38like that,
18:39that takes
18:39the wind
18:39out of you.
18:40Now,
18:41the Lieutenant
18:42here has
18:42got to stay
18:43on Pillman.
18:43Good small
18:44package.
18:45Two-count.
18:46Didn't have
18:46him hooked
18:46enough.
18:47That's a good
18:47move to beat
18:48somebody out
18:48here.
18:49Hook him
18:49right.
18:50I'm sure
18:51you've won
18:51many matches
18:52like that,
18:52Larry.
18:52You can catch
18:53somebody out
18:53of the blue
18:53with a small
18:54package,
18:55but you've
18:55got to hook
18:55him.
18:57Pillman's
18:58got to get
18:58it together,
18:59and the Lieutenant
19:00has got to
19:00keep on him.
19:02Well,
19:02he went right
19:03to the eyes,
19:03didn't he?
19:03I didn't see
19:04that.
19:04Boy,
19:05that was so
19:05quick,
19:05and Brian
19:06just went
19:06right down
19:07to his knees.
19:08And Lieutenant
19:09Wright showing
19:09a lot of
19:10reserve here.
19:11Now he's
19:11biting Flying
19:12Brian on
19:13the left ear,
19:14and the
19:14referee did
19:15not even
19:15see that.
19:17No,
19:17men will
19:18throw moves
19:19like that
19:19in to
19:19disorientate
19:20their opponent.
19:22Close line
19:23out of the
19:23ropes.
19:26So Flying
19:27Brian
19:27could take
19:28this out
19:29of the ring.
19:29Watch out.
19:30Buddy Lee
19:30Parker on
19:31the outside.
19:32There you
19:32go.
19:32I'm kidding
19:33me.
19:35Well,
19:36Pillman better
19:36pull it
19:36together.
19:39Pillman in
19:40a lot of
19:40trouble tied
19:41up in
19:41the television
19:43cables around
19:44the ring,
19:44and Flying
19:45Brian,
19:45like you
19:46said,
19:46better pull
19:46it
19:46together.
19:47He's
19:47working
19:48against
19:48two
19:48guys
19:48here.
19:49We'll
19:49find out
19:50how much
19:50determination
19:50he's got.
19:51I never
19:51put too
19:52much space
19:52in
19:52referees.
19:54Counter,
19:54good
19:54counter.
19:55Here he
19:55goes.
19:56He's
19:56back on
19:57top.
19:58Boy,
19:58he's
19:58got good
19:58agility.
19:59He's
19:59going to
20:00keep this
20:00momentum
20:00going.
20:02Let's
20:02see if he
20:03can,
20:03Larry.
20:03I see the
20:04lieutenant
20:04right there.
20:05Tried to
20:06break it.
20:06Pillman didn't
20:07fall for it.
20:07A little bit of
20:08experience playing
20:08off.
20:09Good elbow.
20:11Yeah,
20:11can he keep the
20:12momentum?
20:15Shoots him
20:16into the far
20:17side.
20:18High back
20:18body drop.
20:19Flying
20:20Brian.
20:21He got
20:23Sergeant
20:24Parker down.
20:26Flying
20:26Brian now
20:27with the
20:27momentum
20:28going his
20:29way.
20:29He's
20:29up on top.
20:30Agility once
20:31again.
20:31Look at that.
20:32Like a cat.
20:32It looks like
20:33a cat.
20:37Covers him.
20:39He got him.
20:40He got him.
20:40Caught him
20:41sweeping off the
20:42road.
20:42Flying
20:43Brian.
20:44Good.
20:44Sergeant
20:45Parker is in
20:46and now
20:46they're going
20:46to work.
20:47Calm in the
20:47backup.
20:50Lieutenant
20:50Wright is
20:51still down.
20:52Flying
20:52Brian fighting
20:53Sergeant
20:53Parker.
20:54Lieutenant
20:55Wright.
20:55The time
20:56to fight
20:56and the
20:57time to
20:57run.
20:58Pillman
20:58babysitting
20:58out of the
20:59ring.
21:00The lieutenant
21:00is in
21:00there also.
21:01Now
21:01it's two
21:02on one.
21:03Both
21:04members of
21:04the state
21:05patrol
21:05going
21:05after Flying
21:06Brian.
21:07Is he
21:08going to
21:08get any
21:08help at
21:09all here?
21:10Maybe
21:10he doesn't
21:10need it.
21:11Holy
21:12down
21:14and out
21:15both
21:15members
21:15go.

21:18and
21:18there's
21:18your
21:18winner
21:18once
21:19again.
21:19If Pillman
21:20can hold
21:20out a
21:20little
21:20bit
21:21he's
21:21going to
21:21be
21:21one
21:21of
21:22the
21:22best.
21:23No
21:23question
21:23about it
21:24his
21:24agility
21:24came
21:24through.
21:25He
21:26picks up
21:26a win.
21:27He
21:27disposed
21:27of both
21:28members
21:28of the
21:28state
21:28patrol.
21:29A
21:29couple
21:29cops
21:29caught
21:30it
21:30to
21:30themselves.
21:32And
21:32he
21:32is
21:32in
21:33full
21:33control
21:33of
21:34the
21:34ring
21:35right
21:36now.
21:36Fans
21:37still
21:38to
21:38com
21:38Terry
21:38Taylor
21:39the
21:39Minotaur
21:39and much
21:39more.
21:40Stay
21:40right
21:40where you
21:40are.
21:44Well I'm
21:44sure we
21:45all remember
21:45having heard
21:46or read
21:46at one
21:46time or
21:47another
21:47that
21:47wrestling
21:48is
21:485,000
21:49years
21:49old.
21:50That's
21:50documented
21:50historic
21:51fact.
21:53Thousands
21:53of years
21:53now have
21:54gone by
21:54and
21:55finally
21:55television
21:56and
21:56wrestling
21:57discovered
21:57each
21:58other.
21:58And
21:59you know
21:59something
21:59they were
21:59made
22:00for
22:00each
22:00other.
22:01Television
22:01of course
22:02is a
22:02monster
22:02for
22:03material.
22:03you could
22:03take
22:04all the
22:04facilities
22:04of
22:05Hollywood
22:05and
22:06radio
22:06and
22:07stage
22:08and
22:08news
22:09and
22:09everything
22:09you still
22:10couldn't
22:10provide
22:10enough
22:11really
22:12outstanding
22:12fresh
22:13programming
22:13in the
22:15early days
22:15of television.
22:16Along came
22:17wrestling
22:17an immediate
22:18hit
22:18a guaranteed
22:20wonderful
22:20feature
22:21high ratings
22:22and believe
22:23me they're
22:23going to
22:23stay that
22:24way for
22:24the very
22:24simple
22:25reason
22:25that
22:26as I
22:26said
22:26television
22:27and radio
22:27are made
22:28for each
22:28other.
22:29So
22:29I hope
22:31that you
22:32enjoy it.
22:32I know
22:33I did
22:33I did
22:34three a
22:34week
22:34at one
22:34time
22:35and in
22:35addition
22:35to the
22:36same
22:36week
22:36I do
22:37some
22:37boxing
22:37and some
22:38baseball.
22:39I'm
22:40Jack
22:40Brickhouse
22:40this has
22:41been
22:41a little
22:42Brickhouse
22:42bonus.
22:43one
22:43one
22:44and in
22:45the
22:45ring is a
22:58point at
23:11229 pounds from Mooseville, Alabama, Joey Perry.
23:17Want to once again thank my good friend Jack Brickhouse for being with us here
23:22on his Brickhouse bonus, a legendary Chicago announcer.
23:25You know, I had a chance to...
23:26I don't care about Jack Brickhouse.
23:28I just want to comment right now.
23:29Hey, now wait a second, Larry.
23:30I think Terry Taylor could take a little hint from Ric Flair and get a haircut.
23:33Go to that same place Flair went, Tonto's.
23:36I had a chance to walk up and down Michigan with Jack Brickhouse.
23:41The little takedown right there, the little amateur move by Terry Taylor, who can wrestle.
23:46You're not going to let me get this in at all, are you?
23:47Who cares about Jack Brickhouse?
23:48You probably don't, but Jack Brickhouse is a very good friend and a very...
23:53just a superhuman being, and people in Chicago love him, and so do I.
23:57Now, we all love Jack Brickhouse.
23:59A little reversal here by Barrett to an armbar.
24:02See how Terry Taylor maneuvers out of this one.
24:03Well, Terry Taylor is a fine wrestler, and here's a young man who's from Vero Beach, Florida.
24:09He couldn't see it with the camera, but he got a little late trip.
24:12You know, he began wrestling.
24:14Watch out, we have Alexandra York, the administrative assistant to Michael Wall Street, coming out,
24:21and apparently she's going to update her files on Terry Taylor.
24:23Well, you know, in terms of Michael Wall Street, it's not bad having a woman to help you out with this
24:28because they are the most vicious creatures on the face of the planet.
24:31You know, wave your gold card at ladies' night, you'll discover the integrity of womanhood.
24:37Do you like anybody at all?
24:39Yeah, look at the mayor, Tony.
24:42All right.
24:44Alexander York on the outside, and that has obviously disrupted the concentration of Terry Taylor for this match.
24:49Jill Barrett's going to take advantage of it here with a standing side headlock.
24:52Well, you know, Taylor, who is the Ring's veteran, you know, he's got to look over with.
24:56I think he just didn't get caught with a tackle there.
24:59Terry Taylor's got to be thinking, well, if she's standing there, it's Mike Wall Street around.
25:03That's what's in his mind.
25:04That could be.
25:06You know, and even in terms of a veteran wrestler, if a man puts you in a headlock, it's a painful hold,
25:10especially around the ears unless they're college-flowered.
25:12But it's a safe position to keep an eye out for Michael Wall Street.
25:16Never thought of it that way, Larry, and that's a very good point as we take a look at Alexandra with her laptop.
25:22Boy, she is pretty, isn't she?
25:23Wow.
25:25Don't call Wolverines, my friend.
25:29Don't trust them, huh?
25:30Not a wicked.
25:32Okay, side headlock.
25:33Now Barrett's going to shoot Taylor in.
25:36And there's a great tackle by Taylor.
25:40Oh, that's a painful move.
25:43In fact, that's a little nasty veteran move right there.
25:46Nice little Keith Loosner.
25:48She hit the return button on that one.
25:50I think she jotted that down with the computer.
25:53Backbreaker by Taylor, and he held him there.
25:56And believe me, that hurts.
25:59He may have it.
26:01He was holding him there.
26:02Oh, and he held him a little too long.
26:04You know, and that is uncharacteristic of Terry Taylor to do that.
26:07Well, like you said, I mean, like, instead of maybe covering the man and hooking him right,
26:11he's covering him with Alexis Azacol and looking out for Mike Wall Street.
26:15Look at this, a backbreaker.
26:16Second one and a two-count, and Barrett.
26:18Again, instead of hooking him right, he's looking over at Ms. York.
26:22That's what he's doing.
26:23But a couple of backbreakers that he held Joe Barrett on to his knees with Barrett over the top.
26:27And it telegraphed that one.
26:28Two-count, and out of it is Barrett.
26:32Taylor quick to the offense here, as Terry Taylor really picks up the pace being very aggressive.
26:36But he's on the bottom, and Barrett's got a leg.
26:38Either Barrett's good or Taylor's really distracted.
26:41Well, that's the question here.
26:42Locked the hip toss there.
26:44Good back suplex.
26:45Wow, belly to back.
26:46Good counter move.
26:47Good counter move.
26:48For being about a safe position, being in a headlock.
26:50Uh-oh.
26:51I like this myself.
26:52Pile driver, Larry.
26:53Pile driver, bank.
26:55If you hit somebody with that right, that shuts the neck clavicle.
27:00Yeah.
27:00Right to the face.
27:01Well, Taylor.
27:02I like a little nastiness thrown in after a good wrestling move.
27:04It fits.
27:05I get that impression from you.
27:06I really do.
27:07And now, pick up.
27:08We have a spine buster from Taylor.
27:10A great execution of a move.
27:12And Taylor pointing to Alexandra York on the outside.
27:17Even the audience is looking for Michael Wall Street.
27:20Here's Taylor.
27:22The flying Furnham forearm.
27:24And a couple back breakers.
27:27Taylor kind of wore the man back.
27:28He's going to beat him.
27:30A little quicker if it wasn't for Miss York.
27:33Possibly.
27:34Larry, we're going to let you take a look at this again.
27:36Well, he kind of set him up.
27:37He got him right here in the pile driver.
27:39And if you look, you're going to see this man's head banked.
27:41Oh.
27:42That shoves the head right to the chest, which leaves no room for your neck.
27:49Right here.
27:49He shoved the elbow banked.
27:53He's been working on the man for minutes.
27:55And it's an easy pin.
27:56But again, I think he's thinking of where's Michael Wall Street.
28:00And where is Michael Wall Street?
28:01Alexander was out.
28:02And we'll find out more on this situation as it progresses.
28:06Your winner is Terry Taylor with his flying forearm.
28:08And still to come, the Minotaur, the Southern Bullies.
28:11Fan four on Channel 9.

29:19Ladies and gentlemen, making his way to the rain area.
29:22At 305 pounds, Minotaur!
29:32Minotaur is half man, half bull, Larry.
29:34He looks like the loser of an acid-throwing contest, basically.
29:37He looks like the winner of an acid-throwing contest.
29:39He looks like the winner of an acid-throwing contest.
29:40He looks like the winner of an acid-throwing contest.
29:41He looks like the winner of an acid-throwing contest.
29:42He looks like the winner of an acid-throwing contest.
29:43Look at the white eyes.
29:44There's nothing pretty about Minotaur at all.
29:45Where did you get those jeepers, man?
29:48Well, Keith Hart, either the man's nuts or he's inside petrified looking across the ring.
29:52It's a shot.
29:57Minotaur, our first look here on Channel 9 at this guy.
30:03Wow.
30:04Whoa.
30:04Excuse me.
30:05An awesome look.
30:08Keith Hart's up on top.
30:10Oh.
30:11The first time I've seen this man in the ring, Tony.
30:16And I tell you, he's a scary-looking.
30:19Wow.
30:19Like a piece of paper.
30:21He is very, very powerful.
30:23Very strong.
30:25Well, he's definitely got the size.
30:26I'll tell you what I like about the man right now.
30:28He's aggressive.
30:29Just because you feel you can beat a man quick, don't stand there and look good.
30:34You're aggressive.
30:35You know what I noticed about him, Larry?
30:36He was very deliberate coming in, very methodical.
30:39And once the action started, he has really picked up the pace here.
30:42It's almost like something broke loose in his head there.
30:47Snap.
30:47I want to see what break loose is in Keith Hart.
30:51Wow.
30:51Oh, nice.
30:53I think Keith broke altogether.
30:55I think maybe the lower back broke right there.
30:57I have no idea what the Minotaur is doing here.
30:59The fans don't appreciate his style, but they have to be impressed with his ability.
31:06Well, they are impressed.
31:07I mean, there's no doubt about that.
31:08I think the key here is not if the man is going to beat Mr. Hart, how is he going to beat Mr. Hart?
31:15I think that's what they're waiting for.
31:17That's what I'm waiting for, too.
31:18How much brutality is he going to dish out?
31:22See!
31:24Face first.
31:25Hart.
31:26Now, if I wasn't a big believer in stretching the rules, that should be a disqualification.
31:33Not to mention that.
31:36The Minotaur means business, Tony.
31:39All right, there's no question about that.
31:40And the big man, he's got a look that is a natural psych-out to, you know, a human being.
31:45Right.
31:46People, you know, have a natural fear of ugliness.
31:48It's just a fact.
31:50Excuse me.
31:51That's ugliness.
31:52Nice teeth.
31:56The Minotaur now getting very deliberate once again as he certainly is in command of Keith Hart.
32:04This man's a big, strong man.
32:05You know, keep the attention off his face and look at the, you know, reality of him.
32:10He's a strong man who's very aggressive.
32:13Damn, he doesn't care.
32:16He could beat Keith Hart right now.
32:18And I think he should beat Keith Hart right now, Larry.
32:20Yeah, hey, this is like an experience in the ring.
32:23Oh, this, for goodness sakes, you can hit a wall.
32:26Yeah.
32:26Or hit a punching bag and get experienced like this.
32:28You know, since the popularity of wrestling, a lot of men want to become wrestlers.
32:33And Keith Hart looks like one of them.
32:35He should go back to the gym and live waiting for about 30,000 years because he's, you know, just basically too small.
32:42He's taking a chance.
32:43You know, it's one of them long shots.
32:44If he should beat the Minotaur, his name is me.
32:47But, obviously, he's not.
32:52Now, what is that contraption, I guess we can call it, that's over his arm?
32:56I don't know.
32:57It puts Keith Hart out.
32:58And one of the Huts is Minotaur!
33:00That was a definite no-cut.
33:06Minotaur picks up the win, and we're going to take a look once again at some of the action.
33:11You know, talking about that thing on his arm, I don't know what it is, but obviously you're not going to get in the ring unless they check it.
33:17Throws the man in like nothing.
33:21That's a brute force, crashed into a little body.
33:25I don't know what's in that arm, Tony.
33:29Even if there's nothing in there, there's one big arm in there.
33:32Well, you're right, Larry, and that big arm took down Keith Hart.
33:36The Minotaur, most impressive start here on Channel 9 in the awards of World Championship Wrestling, the Wild Eye Southern Boys still to come.
33:44And Larry and I will be back talking about Larry Land.
33:47When you come back, West Lugly Guy.
33:53From the heart of the Southland, take seats my day, Steve Armstrong, the Wild Eye Southern Boys.
34:03Larry, you know that song you're hearing right now is a song that was produced, written, and sung by Steve Armstrong.
34:12I really don't care, Tony.
34:15And it's part of the World Championship Wrestling.
34:18And I made a record myself.
34:19Now, wait a minute.
34:20You made a record years ago?
34:22Yes, I did.
34:23I made a record a few years ago.
34:25Basically, kept it for myself.
34:26A little thing called Boo On Me.
34:28It was a tribute to myself after I retired the great Bruno San Martino.
34:32Boo On Me.
34:34All right, we're going to take a look at the Wild Eye Southern Boys.
34:36And Larry, I want to make a brief mention here.
34:38We saw just moments ago the information about the Wrestling Hotline.
34:43And as fans know, I'm on the Wrestling Hotline each and every Monday with information and opinions that our producers here on television,
34:51Ed Arvin, our senior producer, will not let me say on TV.
34:54So if you call the Wrestling Hotline, you'll get that information, maybe an opinion now and then about you that I'm not allowed to say right here on TV.
35:00I know it should be believed.
35:01There's a lot of things I'd like to say, but I know they'd be believed.
35:03So call the Wrestling Hotline every Monday and for my segment, I look forward to having your call.
35:09Down goes Joe South.
35:10You know, Joe South right here, he's a ring veteran too.
35:13He sure is.
35:13Whoa, that's a cute little reversal.
35:16Smothers.
35:17Bang, that's what I mean.
35:19Good move by Smothers, but South made one in there.
35:21Wanted to go up again.
35:24George South went to the well as the Oak Lachey goes too many times and he and Brock go down.
35:28Long time to help, Mr. South.
35:30Double team.
35:31That's what you mean when you're a tag team.
35:33You've got to be able to maneuver all your, you know, strategies with your partner.
35:37It's got to be like clockwork.
35:39That's what makes a tag team.
35:42George South.
35:43George, you know, has a lot of land across the United States.
35:48He owns places in Tempe, Arizona, in hometown South Carolina, in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
35:53He's very well to do, I understand.
35:54He's better to get rid of him.
35:55There's a big recession going on.
35:56But if I was him, I'd get rid of him, liquidate, and stash for him.
36:04All right, we go right up with the...
36:05A little arm bar there by one of the Southern boys.
36:08Thank you, I was going to say that.
36:09And a rake to the eyes.
36:11Well, George South just really beats his way out of that maneuver.
36:16And now we're going to see Armstrong, South, tremendous, over the top.
36:22Here we go.
36:23The action is fast and furious here.
36:25South may get out of breath.
36:27Good hit cause.
36:28A great sense of timing right there, Larry.
36:30Once in a while, his partner kind of running and takes a, you know, five.
36:34Double grab stick.
36:35That's what you need.
36:36Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork.
36:38We talk about agility and speed and a great sense of timing.
36:42You know, the things that we saw happen just moments ago that really were all Steve Armstrong
36:49only comes from years in the ring.
36:51It does.
36:52You know, I mean, my team, even in terms of myself, my right side is completely compatible
36:56with my left side, which sort of produces in me the ultimate wrestler.
37:01You are.
37:03No, no, I'm not.
37:04Keith Hart, the man who wrestled the Minotaur once.
37:08All right.
37:08I see what you're saying.
37:11From behind.
37:13And again.
37:15Let's see what Ed Brock does.
37:17Ed Brock is a very powerful young individual.
37:20But once again, it gets back to great teamwork and a great veteran.
37:24And Steve Armstrong.
37:26I felt that one.
37:28Second generation wrestler.
37:30He tagged out.
37:31Teamwork.
37:32I think he tagged out.
37:33There he goes again.
37:34Got to make sure, isn't it?
37:35End of the ropes.
37:35Over the top.
37:37Smothered.
37:37Right in the sternum.
37:39And that's a death blow.
37:40You know, one thing you can say about the Southern boys, too.
37:42Let's see what happens here first.
37:45Flying elbow.
37:46One thing you can say about them is South gets hit and South wants to come in.
37:50The Southern boys really have a lot of emotion and the fans really respond to them quite well.
37:54Well, you know, they do.
37:55Well, you know, they do.
37:55And it's, you know, even being from the South, these two guys, I'm sure they have that bitterness, you know, of still losing the old Civil War.
38:01So they're not trying to prove themselves.
38:03He's got himself in a suplex.
38:04And up goes Mr. Brock and down.
38:07And that knocks the wind out of you.
38:09Vertical suplex.
38:10I don't think they think about the Civil War at all, Larry, for goodness sake.
38:12I mean, Atlanta, they've got that stone mountain here with, you know, they have the all-time great American losers chiseled into stone on it.
38:19Can you say something good about anyone today?
38:24Yes.
38:25I feel great.
38:27Well, I asked for it, I guess.
38:29Armbar.
38:30And actually, the more I sit here and commentate with you, you know, and add my expertise, the more I'm dying to get back in that ring.
38:37We'll see who's got the guts in this.
38:39And I would think that fans watching our program in Chicago and where we go nationwide, worldwide, would love to see you back in, too.
38:47But like I say, you want to see Trash, watch Madonna.
38:51You want to see Art, watch Zabisco and Larry Land.
38:57A tag, and the Southern boys with great teamwork again.
39:00And here they go, it's Armstrong in.
39:02Good teamwork, and that's the secret to tag team.
39:04There's no doubt about it.
39:05I see the other man going up to the top.
39:07They've already been ready.
39:09Dang!
39:10Wow.
39:11Goodbye, Mr. Brock.
39:13And the Southern boys get a win.
39:14It looks like Jordan's going to see how the same all his land.
39:17Southern boys.
39:19Southern boys.
39:21A tremendous win, Larry.
39:22We're going to let you talk about this.
39:24Well, after he whips the man in right now, I've noticed, okay, watch this.
39:30Boom.
39:31Good shot.
39:32Right in the sternum.
39:33In the martial arts sternum.
39:34That's a death blow.
39:35An off-the-top rope.
39:36Elbow.
39:37Bing.
39:39There's nothing else to say except one, two, three.
39:42I'm Mr. Brock.
39:43Human bodies can only take so much.
39:46Okay.
39:46We'll talk about the horsemen in their latest video after this.
39:49Remember, boy, there's a right to become a man.
39:52Find a room, they say, we'll love his land.

40:45That's tomorrow night.
40:477.30.
40:48Be early for a great night of super action.
40:50Eight exciting matches.
40:52Tomorrow night.
40:52The UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
40:55You know, last week, Tony, we saw the four horsemen back to the basics of professional wrestling.
41:13And I'm talking about brutality.
41:15What I believe in.
41:16When men were men and women kept their mouths shut.
41:19Now, the people in Chicago are going to have a chance to see the new look for a horseman
41:24tomorrow night right at the Pavilion.
41:27And we're going to have a chance to look at the new look horseman once again.
41:31What Larry was talking about.
41:32Their latest video.
41:34Arne Anderson and Barry Windham.
41:35Back to the basics.
41:40Hey, Dougie, will you look at this dump?
41:44Ha!
41:44It's like the Hems and Palace, pal.
41:46You can better bet that.
41:47But it's a lot cheaper.
41:49You've got to be asking yourself, how do we walk around?
41:53UIC's long tenements.
41:56No fear of gangs?
41:58You guys scared to walk around this area?
42:03And that certainly ain't Dom Perignon, pal.
42:07Let me tell you something.
42:08We're the horsemen.
42:09We come and go as we please.
42:10Yeah.
42:11America's greatest fear is gang violence.
42:14Well, there was a bunch of punks with scarves on their head back here.
42:17They all piled in a van and hit the bricks.
42:20You see, America, world championship wrestling in particular, finally getting the idea.
42:28There's going to be any drive-by shootings.
42:31Nothing illegal.
42:33There's going to be some immoral things going on, though.
42:37You see, we're going to take it as far as the law allows.
42:40Tell them, G.W.
42:41You know, about five minutes ago, this place is packed with thugs.
42:45And every door is bolted.
42:47We're still clipping the padlocks on the doors.
42:50This one right here is afraid to come out.
42:52Afraid to even look out the window.
42:54But I'll tell you what.
42:55It's this way in every town we go.
42:58Every street we walk.
43:00Every bar, pub, or club we walk in.
43:03Everybody seems to disappear.
43:06And it's happening that way in world championship wrestling.
43:09Sting, Luger, the Steiners, Doom, in their own element, are nowhere to be found.
43:17We came down here looking for Teddy Long.
43:19I think he owns this joint.
43:22But it got us nowhere.
43:24Let me tell you something.
43:26Barry Windham got a funny new haircut, a lot of them say it.
43:29Ric Flair got a funny haircut.
43:32Ric Flair don't wear three-piece suits anymore.
43:35What's the matter with you guys?
43:38There ain't nothing the matter with us.
43:41What's going to be the matter
43:42is with each and every day that passes,
43:47casualties begin to pile up.
43:50You take this violent setting,
43:52you're going to look at these people in the window,
43:54scared to death to come outside.
43:57That's the way it's always been.
43:59That's the way it always will be.
44:01The strong survive.
44:03And there's strength in numbers.
44:05We're talking about numbers.
44:07We're talking about four.
44:08The four horsemen.
44:11The horsemen back to the basics.
44:13As Larry told you,
44:13you'll see the new look horsemen tomorrow night
44:15right here in Chicago at the UIC Pavilion.
44:18What about Ric Flair?
44:19You know,
44:20that's got to be the big news of 1991 Flair,
44:23the new heavyweight champion of the world.
44:25And I want to take this opportunity
44:27to wish Flair all the best luck for the new year.
44:30Because I've got a real funny feeling,
44:32Shivani,
44:33he may be needed.
44:34I think I've heard you say that before.
44:36Flair is the champion,
44:37fans.
44:37For Larry Zbysko,
