00:24and then I would hope they would take a big step next year

00:27because it does feel like they are, right now, aimed to win.

00:31And if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Washington have the number one overall pick in the draft, too?

00:35I mean, that is bananas. That's crazy.

00:38Yeah. James Wood's been – I've said him several times.

00:44His home run prop was 17-and-a-half this year.

00:49We talked about it all in March here about how he would do that by mistake.

00:57He said he's sort of a left-handed Aaron Judge as far as how strong this man is.

01:01So, yeah, he's going to be a star.

01:03I don't have any doubt he's going to be a star there.

01:04And he can run, too, by the way.

01:06He's got a little bit of speed.

01:07So, they have someone to build around here.

01:09And you've got Dylan Cruz.

01:10You've got C.J. Abrams.

01:11They do have the makings of a really good offense here.

01:13But you're right.

01:14You've got to supplement that.

01:16Mackenzie Gore.

01:17Okay, you've got a nice starting pitch there.

01:18We've got to keep adding to it.

01:20And I think Washington could be there.

01:21They're 27-and-30 now.

01:23I guess are they going to hang around?

01:27But I do think it's the second half of the season rolls along here.

01:29They probably play a little worse.

01:31And they fall out of it here.

01:32But that's fine.

01:33It doesn't matter.

01:34They weren't supposed to make the playoffs.

01:35And maybe you shouldn't make the playoffs.

01:36You get the lower draft pick again.

01:38And you keep going at it here.

01:39I like the direction they're heading.

01:40I think their future is certainly brighter than some other teams.

01:44I think they're going to be in it.

01:45I think they're going to be a few games under and right there in the second half.

01:49We see a lot of this in the past.

01:50And surprise teams who are about 500 or better come on at the end.

01:54Would not surprise me at all to see Washington in that mix of the wild card.

02:04I mean, I don't know how you can have him act with a fractured toe.

02:07It looks like he could either be in the lineup playing hurt or miss some time.

02:15The dreaded vote of confidence, George, for Willie Adamas and the Giants from Buster Posey this week, their president.

02:24I mean, the Giants threw a lot of money at this guy, George.

03:18And I would not have paid him that much money.

03:21It was almost like he was the runner-up.

03:22San Fran was always trying to get that big-name player, Aaron Judge.

03:29And they were always coming up.

03:30Well, might have gotten lucky there.

03:32And they were always coming up second place, third place.

03:34So I think Adamus was sort of that, okay, we got somebody.
