00:00And Gunnar Henderson is not having the season that he had last year.
00:03Let's just be frank.
00:04He was the top two, top three in the MVP voting last year.
00:07I don't remember exactly, but it was close.
00:09And there's nothing wrong with these numbers.
00:1020 home runs, 20 steals, 60 runs driven in.
00:13That's probably the baseline, George, for Gunnar Henderson the rest of the year.
00:18But, you know, it depends on kind of where your league is.
00:21And I would probably guess that his numbers would be significantly better in the second half.
00:26Still going to have to give up a lot to get him would be my guess.
00:30Yeah, the Kennison might be another case of be very careful at draft time.
00:34Remember, he came into the season hurt, you know, yet was still drafted pretty high.
00:38And, you know, those players who are hurt in March before you draft,
00:41maybe you don't want to draft where they're, you know, where their ADP is saying they're going here
00:45because the risk may just not be worth it there.
00:48He's had solid numbers, you said, but not Henderson knows that we wanted, expected from him.
00:52But what you paid for at draft time.
00:55So I think that's the only worry there.
00:57Last year, sort of the opposite, right?
00:59He had a really good first, two-thirds, trailed off in the last third.
01:02At least he didn't have his good season at the end here, which happens to a lot of players.
01:05They get tired.
01:06He's a young player.
01:07It could happen to him as well here.
01:08Not really worried about Henderson.
01:10I said I would take a shot at acquiring him if I needed a shortstop here.
01:13And in my main league, I have Bo Bichette.
01:16So if Henderson was out there, yeah, I'd be trying to acquire him, you know, to upgrade there.
01:21But I just don't know if I'm expecting big, big things here.
01:24Orioles are one of the probably the biggest disappointments.
01:26Well, not maybe not the biggest, but one of the biggest disappointment teams in baseball.
01:30Yeah, I think it's fair.
01:31I think you can go there.
01:32I mean, the Orioles, for them to finish 10 games under 500, no one had that at the beginning of the year.
01:38Okay.
01:39So here's the question, George, with Bryce Harper, who has now been in the big leagues for a long time and has played at a high level for a long time.
01:47Harper's numbers this year are really pedestrian.
01:50I mean, these numbers at the end of the season may look similar.
01:54I'm a little afraid of this.
01:55And the reason why, George, is I think Philadelphia positions themselves as a team that is going to bring this guy, you know, he's back playing again.
02:03But I think they're just worried about September.
02:06Like, hey, let's get him back.
02:07Let's get him healthy.
02:08And then in October, we'll be in the postseason.
02:10And Bryce Harper will go back to being Bryce Harper again.
02:13I don't know that there's any rush to push him.
02:16You're seeing him take days off now, too.
02:18I'm not going to say that he is, like, getting the Kershaw treatment where he's 37 years old or something like that.
02:23But it just feels like Philly's in no rush to push anyone at this point.
02:28Bryce Harper is a better name than value, right?
02:33We all know the name Bryce Harper and plays hard.
02:36He gets long home runs here.
02:38But when you look at his numbers here, all right, he's going to help you on average.
02:42Yeah, he's going.
02:42He's going to bat around 280, 285.
02:44It's what he does here.
02:45Doesn't really do much for you on stolen bases, right?
02:48He'll get 10 over a full season.
02:50He's not going to get that this year.
02:52Maybe he does.
02:52RBIs, by the way, he hasn't had over 85 or 87 RBIs since 2019.
03:00Doesn't drive in a lot of runs.
03:02Did it 30 home runs last year, but that's also not something he generally does.
03:05Last year, a couple years, he's averaging below 20s here.
03:08So, like I said, if you acquire Harper, you're acquiring the name.
03:12You're probably paying for the name, but when you want value on the field, and he gets hurt.
03:16Almost every year, he gets hurt.
03:17Now, he's coming back from the injury now, so maybe he got over that.
03:20But there's no guarantee he's going to be healthy over the next three months here.
03:23I would be very, very cautious acquiring Bryce Harper.
03:27I said, you're going to pay for that name value more when you're going to get value on the field.
03:31I think all that is fair.
03:32All right.
03:33So, I had a chance to see George of the Minnesota Twins this past week.
03:36I'll tell you this.
03:37Willie Castro is having a nice year for them.
03:38He's going to probably get double-digit home runs and steals on the Twins, which is more than you would expect it.
03:43But I got to say, George, a little shocking to see this guy bat near the top of their lineup.
03:47The Twins, George, I don't know, man.
03:50They looked a little lifeless to me.
03:52Pablo Lopez is out.
03:54Lewis is out again.
03:55Buxton's playing great.
03:57But, boy, did they miss fire completely on their season, the Twins, assuming that, like, okay, you know, Buxton.
04:04It's basically like they sort of rolled the dice on three players.
04:08Byron Buxton, Royce Lewis, and Carlos Correa, and they're hitting one out of three.
04:12And when that happens, you find yourself several games under .500 and playing yourself out of it.
04:17Yeah.
04:18I must add to that.
04:20All right.
04:20And if you're, by the way, if you're banking on Buxton, you know he's going to get hurt.
04:23He's been hurt a couple times this year.
04:24Not the major injury that we seem to lose him for a couple of months, but he's missed a couple of weeks here and there.
04:29Correa's been a bust.
04:31I mean, just then.
04:32Lewis, what happened to this guy?
04:35I mean, he's been, I mean, once again, came into the season hurt.
04:38Hurt the hamstring, I think, again, in spring training.
04:41They were early in the season.
04:42He was out for a while, but he has just not recovered, right?
04:45Not hitting a lick at all here.
04:47And they're not a team that has players who can make up for it.
04:50You know, their stars aren't carrying this team.
04:53Man, this is an under.
04:54Every time we look at the twins, under.
04:57I don't care who they're playing, I'm taking the under because they cannot hit.
04:59Either you're taking their team total under or the game under.
05:02And that means that, once again, your fantasy players or your fantasy outcomes are not good for this team here.
05:06A box that went healthy is probably the only guy I'm interested in starting game in, game out.
