00:00As celebrations wind down at Anfield, thoughts are already turning to what's next for Liverpool
00:08after reclaiming the Premier League crown.
00:11Arnish Slott's side impressed with their energy, cohesion and attacking depth,
00:16delivering a campaign filled with standout performances across the pitch.
00:21From the relentless drive of Alexis McAllister to the defensive resilience of Virgil van Dijk
00:26and the consistent threat of Mohamed Salah, key figures delivered when it counted most.
00:32Emerging talents like Conor Bradley also stepped up, underlining the squad's depth and potential.
00:38Now with the title secured, Liverpool's focus shifts to strengthening from a position of power.
00:44The question is how they will spend and where they will look to improve this summer.
00:49Do they bring in established stars to bolster their squad
00:51or place further trust in the exciting young talents already coming through?
00:56We spoke to Will Rooney of Liverpool World to reflect on the players who defined Liverpool's season
01:02and where the club may look to build ahead of another demanding campaign.
01:08And in terms of winning the Premier League, obviously a massive summer ahead.
01:13It does affect your summer recruitment.
01:15Obviously, you know, some players will look at Liverpool now as well.
01:18So maybe Liverpool do have that bit of a bargaining chip saying, you know,
01:21we've won the league, we're going to try and defend our title.
01:24Yes, we want to add some top players to go and get that title again
01:28and maybe even push in the Champions League a bit more next season.
01:33But how does it sort of affect the summer recruitment winning the Premier League?
01:36Obviously, it's a great achievement.
01:38But, you know, they've got a bit of a bargaining chip as well,
01:41knowing that they have, you know, they are the Premier League champions.
01:45Well, that's it.
01:46I mean, what player doesn't want to join the team that are champions?
01:51And as things stand, a favourite is to go and do it again next season.
01:55It might be different how Manchester City go and recruit, how Arsenal go and recruit, etc.
01:59But look, if you're having a bet now, you'd probably be back in Liverpool to go and do it again.
02:05And as you say, the Champions League was a little bit disappointing.
02:08They only reached the round of 16, ran into a very good PSG side who could go on and win the competition.
02:14So they were unlucky there.
02:16The next season, Liverpool will be going into the campaign, trying to create history by surpassing Man Utd
02:22and going out and out for the most titles won in England.
02:26And that's a big thing because you think of all those titles won under Sir Alex Ferguson,
02:33the Man Utd and Liverpool were left in the wake.
02:37And now Liverpool have got a chance, given the issues at Man Utd,
02:41to become the dominant force again in England.
02:44Now, I know Man City have obviously been that in recent years.
02:48But, I mean, in terms of clubs of real stature around the globe,
02:52you know, Man Utd and Liverpool are right up there.
02:55And why wouldn't you want to be part of this journey?
02:57Why wouldn't you want to come and play for a manager in Arna Slott,
03:00who has proven himself to have real acumen, real prowess?
03:06A lot of people doubted him maybe last summer.
03:09Was he going to be the right recruit?
03:11Was he going to be the right air appointments?
03:13And, I mean, even after the Tottenham game himself,
03:17he admitted that someone would have been looking at it thinking it's the right choice
03:21because he knew he was an unheralded name.
03:25But he's gone and proven himself leaps, you know, manifold.
03:32So, if you're, say, a striker in Liverpool needs one,
03:38why wouldn't you want to go and lead the line for Liverpool?
03:40If you're a left-back, why wouldn't you want to go and play in defence
03:43that has been excellent defensively
03:45and you're going to have the licence to get forwards as well?
03:47Why wouldn't you want to go and do that?
03:49A generation, two generations, have never experienced myself.
03:54Never experienced that.
03:55All my friends and, you know, family, close family members
03:59have never experienced that.
04:00And I'm sure the majority of fans who were around in 1990
04:05have actually forgot what that feeling was like
04:07to win the Premier League title.
04:10You know, from the morning, I was in the city centre
04:14and it was packed early on and getting up to the ground,
04:18it was bedlam hours before kick-off, to be honest with you.
04:23The pubs were full to the rashes
04:24and you've seen the scenes outside of Anfield,
04:27the ones who couldn't even get a ticket,
04:29and inside the ground.
04:31It was just, it was pure elation.
04:34But it's a feeling they'll want more and more in our fans.
04:39Now they've experienced that,
04:41they'll want to experience it on a regular basis.
