00:00Liverpool are entering a significant summer under Arnie Schlott with outgoing players set to play a major role in reshaping the squad ahead of a new era at Anfield.
00:12As the club looks to evolve following a title-winning campaign, a number of long-serving players and fringe figures are expected to move on, clearing space for fresh ideas and new arrivals.
00:24Schlott has inherited a group but recognises the need for renewal in certain areas, with departures in defence and midfield likely to open up opportunities for reinforcements.
00:35The focus is not only on trimming the squad but ensuring the right balance remains as Liverpool transition into a more fluid and dynamic style under their new head coach.
00:45The coming weeks will be crucial as Liverpool weigh offers, manage squad depth and prepare to support Schlott's vision with a leaner, more tactically adaptable side.
00:57We spoke with Will Rooney of Liverpool World who provided insight into the players most likely to depart, the thinking behind the club's exit strategy and how Liverpool are aiming to turn change into opportunity as Schlott begins to put his stamp on the team.
01:12In terms of players leaving Liverpool this summer, obviously Trent's gone, Keller has gone as well.
01:23Players where you feel there are still a number of players in the Liverpool side that would have wanted first-team minutes and they're just finding themselves falling short because the players who are competing in their position had a much better season and a much better output than them in general.
01:40So, who could leave Liverpool is there still, you know, movements obviously. Harvey Elliott has been vocal about his playing time, you know, on international duty as well.
01:49He wants to make sure that he's getting some Premier League minutes, you know, probably more than last season as well.
01:55Yeah, Elliott's an interesting one now with where to come in, as you say. Where does the future lie for him?
02:01Because he sees himself as a number 10. He's not going to play on the right wing because Mo Salah's there. I don't really think he's a winger either. I think he is a number 10.
02:11And Harvey Elliott's maybe looking at this and thinking, I might have to move on.
02:15Maybe Liverpool could install a buy-back clause like they are doing with Gerald Kwanza going to buy a Leverkusen.
02:23Liverpool, even though they're having a big summer in terms of spending, you know, say £200 million at least now with the goalkeeper, Marmitash, Philly, coming in as well as Frim Pongwert and Milos Kierkez.
02:37It's still going to balance the books. It's still going to be run sustainably. So, Elliott, you could get a good fee for, say, Alexander Arnold, Keller has gone, Kwanza has gone.
02:48You're looking at Darwin Nunes. I think everyone accepts that after three years at Liverpool. It just unfortunately hasn't worked out.
02:55It's just struggled for consistency. It's been some brilliant moments of his Liverpool career. You think of that double off the bench at Newcastle and you're down to 10 men, the one at Brentford earlier this season, coming off the bench and scoring two late goals.
03:11But he's just struggled to find real cast-iron consistency. And three years, I think, is long enough to judge everyone. I think maybe last season we were saying, well, one more year, we'll give it.
03:24And it just hasn't worked out. He started eight Premier League games this season, which says it all, really, for, you know, a player who arrived for, you know, £64 million initially.
03:35I don't think Liverpool hit the 85 that caused reach. But it's just, you can't say that Liverpool fans haven't given him a chance at how they've always stood by him.
03:45So I think he's one who will move on. And then with Kerkers coming in, one of their left backs, Andy Robertson, or Costa Simakas, I think Liverpool would probably rather keep Andy Robertson.
03:57Because I don't think Kerkers is initially coming in to be, you know, starting week in, week out.
04:03I think it'd be rotated. He'd have to learn a little bit. And Robertson, his experience would be invaluable in the dressing room.
04:10But he might see his, he might not want to play fewer minutes, especially with the World Cup coming up.
04:17And he might want to go and experience something else at Atletico Madrid, if not Costa Simakas.
04:22Does he want to go and play regular football elsewhere?
04:24So there's, there's decisions to be made on, on a couple more players and just one more is it's Federico Chieda.
04:30You, you would be surprised if, if he stays at the club.
04:33Once I leave him, talk about Mark Gehie.
04:36Can Liverpool get the right price for him?
04:38Did he go and look at other options?
04:40And, and then maybe a striker as well, depending on what Arna Slough fancies.
04:44Please.
04:44Please.
04:45How do you guys show up?
05:03T District 1.
