00:00Arnish Klopp's arrival at Anfield has breathed new life into Liverpool,
00:07sparking a rise that points to an exciting future.
00:11Their impressive league victories and consistent performances across all competitions
00:16laid the groundwork for a commanding campaign.
00:19With dazzling comebacks and a relentless energy, his Liverpool side have so far
00:24been both thrilling to watch and highly effective.
00:27Securing the Premier League trophy has reignited the fans' ambitions,
00:33with the slot era off to a powerful start, one that has restored hope for sustained success
00:38at the highest level.
00:40We spoke to Will Rooney of Liverpool World to reflect on the standout moments
00:45from Liverpool's title-winning season, and Arnish Slott,
00:49a campaign that brought silverware back to Anfield in unforgettable fashion.
00:53Now Will, on Liverpool and in terms of the best moments, obviously it's hard to find
00:59any negatives across their season when you look, but in terms of the domestic season,
01:04the Premier League campaign going and winning the title the way they did,
01:07the way it was a big gap at the end as well.
01:10Yes, they tailed off maybe when they secured the title, but you feel it was a bit of relief
01:15and elation.
01:16The whole city had been celebrating as well.
01:18So, in terms of across the season, what do you think the biggest moments, the best moments were
01:22that Liverpool fans can look back?
01:25Because certainly it's a title, it's a season that they're going to remember
01:28for the rest of their lives, really.
01:30Yeah, of course, you had to look at the obvious one first, was the day that the title was won,
01:36which was the 5-1 win over Tottenham.
01:39At the end of April, I mean, the title was probably won a little bit sooner than expected.
01:44Maybe people were looking at Chelsea or maybe the last one game.
01:47But it was a party from the moment people set off the houses.
01:54They knew that the title could be secured.
01:57Anfield was packed to the raptures hours before kick-off.
02:02And Liverpool delivered emphatically with a 5-1 win.
02:07And it was the first time a lot of fans have ever experienced that
02:12because the title five years goes during COVID and you have to go back to 1990.
02:16So, you know, people my age, similar age, a little bit older, you know,
02:22have never experienced that before.
02:25And they celebrated it duly.
02:27Obviously, lifting the Premier League crown was a fantastic day
02:31after the final day against Crystal Palace.
02:34But I go back to that sort of November, October-November period
02:39when Liverpool made a really good start.
02:43And Arna Slott's talked about that win at Man United
02:45where he's, I think he thinks that at the moment,
02:48he convinced the players that Reeves the right man.
02:51But there was so much made, wasn't there?
02:53Liverpool have not played anyone yet
02:54and wait until they come up against Scud's opposition.
02:57Well, you look at that run, the fixtures they had.
02:59I think they had Arslan away where they come from behind twice,
03:03beat Manchester City and Real Madrid in a week,
03:06beat by a Leverkusen, the German champions,
03:09beat Aston Villa at home.
03:10And it was a really tough run of fixtures where you're thinking,
03:16this could make or break Liverpool's season.
03:18Are they real contenders or are they pretenders?
03:21And they come through that with aplomb, really.
03:24You know, them two wins in a week against Manchester City and Real Madrid
03:29is two of the best sides in Europe.
03:32And they were both duly put to the sword.
03:36So you're looking at those periods, really,
03:40that I think when you look back at this season,
03:42yeah, those would be the wins that you think about.
03:45And then the one against Brighton where they had to come behind from a half-time.
03:52The one of Bremfors in town, who next comes off the bench
03:55and plums as a double, which you weren't expecting.
04:00That really was a significant boost, I think, in that evening.
04:05I think Arsenal went and drew against Aston Villa,
04:07which the title race was really tight at the time.
04:12Look at the season that Liverpool fans will never forget.
04:15And now they need to really kick on
04:17and assert their authority in the Premier League.
04:20But there haven't been many lows, let's be honest, throughout the season.
04:24There was obviously, they weren't invincible.
04:26They made such a strong start to the season.
04:29And yeah, maybe if you're going right back to the start,
04:32missing out on Martin Supermendi was disappointing.
04:35But it didn't really matter because Ryan Gravenberg
04:37became one of the best number sixes in Europe.
04:41But there haven't been many low points.
