00:00As Liverpool celebrated a remarkable title win in Arnie Schlott's debut season,
00:08attention is firmly on the scale of what he's accomplished in such a short time.
00:12Taking over from one of the most iconic managers in the club's history,
00:17Schlott has not only steadied the ship but elevated it,
00:20bringing style, control and a winning edge that captivated Anfield.
00:25Replacing Jurgen Klopp was always going to be one of the most daunting tasks in football,
00:31but Schlott has embraced it with conviction.
00:34His brand of football, proactive, possession-based and tactically fluid,
00:39has given Liverpool a fresh identity.
00:41Importantly, he's also shown the man-management skills to keep a talented but evolving squad united and hungry.
00:49From revitalising senior figures to integrating younger players,
00:53Sotter struck a balance that few thought possible in one year.
00:57The Dutchman's impact has been immediate.
01:00We caught up with Will Rooney of Liverpool World to see just the impact he's made
01:05and what the future holds for Arnie Schlott.
01:08And in terms of winning the Premier League, obviously a massive summer ahead.
01:12It does affect your summer recruitment.
01:15Obviously, some players will look at Liverpool now as well,
01:18so maybe Liverpool do have that bit of a bargaining chip saying,
01:21we've won the league, we're going to try and defend our title.
01:24Yes, we want to add some top players to go and get that title again
01:28and maybe even push in the Champions League a bit more next season.
01:33But how does it affect the summer recruitment winning the Premier League?
01:36Obviously, it's a great achievement,
01:38but they've got a bit of a bargaining chip as well,
01:41knowing that they are the Premier League champions.
01:44Well, that's it.
01:47I mean, what player doesn't want to join the team that are champions
01:51and as things stand, are favourites to go and do it again next season?
01:55Might be different how Man City go and recruit,
01:58how Arsenal go and recruit, etc.
02:00But look, if you're having a bet now,
02:02you'd probably be back in Liverpool to go and do it again.
02:05And as you say, the Champions League was a little bit disappointing.
02:08They only reached the Isles of 16, ran into a very good PSG side
02:13who could go on and win the competition.
02:15So they were unlucky there.
02:17The next season, Liverpool will be going into the campaign,
02:19trying to create history by surpassing Man United
02:23and going out and out for the most titles won in England.
02:29And that's a big thing because you think of all those titles won
02:32under Sir Alex Ferguson, Man United, Liverpool were left in the wake.
02:36And now Liverpool have got a chance, given the issues at Man United,
02:42to become the dominant force again in England.
02:45Now, I know Man City have obviously been that in recent years,
02:48but I mean, in terms of clubs of real stature around the globe,
02:52you know, Man United and Liverpool are right up there.
02:56And why wouldn't you want to be part of this journey?
02:58Why wouldn't you want to come and play for a manager in Arna Slott
03:00who has proven himself to have real acumen, real prowess?
03:06A lot of people doubted him maybe last summer.
03:10Was he going to be the right recruit?
03:12Was he going to be the right air appointments?
03:14I mean, even after the Tottenham game himself,
03:17he admitted that some would have been looking at it thinking,
03:20it's the right choice.
03:21Because he knew he was an unheralded name,
03:26but he's gone and proven himself leaps, you know, manifold.
03:34So, if you're, say, a striker in Liverpool needs one,
03:38why wouldn't you want to go and lead the line for Liverpool?
03:41If you're a left-back, why wouldn't you want to go and play
03:42in defence that has been excellent defensively
03:45and you're going to have a licence to get forward as well?
03:48Why wouldn't you want to go and do that?
03:49A generation, two generations have never experienced myself,
03:54never experienced that.
03:56All my friends and, you know, family, close family members
04:00have never experienced that.
04:01And I'm sure the majority of fans who were around in 1990
04:06have actually forgot what that feeling was like
04:08to win the Premier League title.
04:11You know, from the morning, I was in the city centre
04:15and it was packed early on and you get up to the grounds,
04:19it was bedlam.
04:21To the moment I left, I mean, I left around 10 o'clock-ish
04:25and there was still fireworks going off,
04:28still plenty of supporters around the grounds.
04:30So, God knows what time they left.
04:34But it's a feeling they'll want more and more in our fans.
04:39Now they've experienced that,
04:41they'll want to experience it on a regular basis.
04:43Let's go.
