00:00Hi, my name is Reece from DreamFoam. We are out here on the American Hedonism tour with your
00:14neighbors and this is our gear rundown. All right, this is my first guitar. This is my primary guitar
00:19on this tour. I got it just for this tour. It is a Fender American Professional II Telecaster.
00:24I love this thing. It has been great. Black finish, satin neck. I'm using tens on my strings.
00:33Ernie Ball, shout out for hooking us up on this tour. And yeah, stock pickups and nothing really
00:39special about it, but it does the job. Typically, I use the neck pickup for everything. For my heavier
00:43stuff, I switch it down to the bridge. I roll the tone knob a little bit to get a little more beef
00:48out of it, but for the most part, I'm kind of using clean stuff, letting it rest right here and just
00:52going, kind of letting the tone sing through, you know? All of the stuff that I use is in standard
00:58tuning. Richie does some alternate tunings here and there, but for the most part, I'm just in standard
01:02tuning. This is my secondary guitar for this tour. It was my primary guitar for a long time. I love
01:07this thing. I believe it's a Fender American Standard. I worked as a music teacher for a very
01:13long time and my music director slash boss in Dallas, Texas, where I came from, sold this thing to me.
01:18It looked very different. It had a black pickguard. It had Lawler humbuckers in the bridge. I don't
01:24play in a pop punk band anymore, so I swapped that shit out. I got single coils on here now. I swapped
01:29it out for a plural pickguard. Everything else, I believe, is stock. Again, using 10s from Ernie Ball,
01:37standard tuning and everything. We got some locking tuners that actually were installed after the fact
01:41on this guitar, but it sounds beautiful. I do not stray away from anything other than position four on
01:47this guitar. It sounds incredible. I was not a Strat guy for many, many years, and then I picked up this
01:53thing, and I was like, I need it. I must have it, and I just beat this shit into the ground. It sounds
01:59amazing. All right, so this right here is our in-ear rack. This is something new that we started
02:04incorporating for this tour. We've got our X32 in here, and the beautiful thing about this is it
02:09allows us to control our own mix when we hear in our in-ears. It has an app that comes with it. You just put
02:14it on your phone, and I can go, you know, I need more guitar in my ears. Just slide that fader up.
02:20Everything plugs into the back here. It's all labeled, you know, playback, guitars, vocals,
02:27drums. Everything has its own place that it gets plugged into, and then we just take this big snake
02:32on the front right here, and we just hand tails to the house, and they get everything just coming
02:39out of this rack. It's all self-contained. We hear it all in our ears. Front of house doesn't have to do
02:43any mixing for us in terms of what we hear in our monitors, and it's pretty easy. We're good to go.
02:48All right, this right here is our guitar rack. We are using Kempers on this tour. I've been using
02:54Kempers for about six years, seven years now. I use the same tones primarily for everything. All of our
03:01clean stuff is a Morgan AC 20 tone just drenched in chorus, reverb, and delay. I use that for absolutely
03:07everything. All of our heavier stuff is, I believe, a Friedman amp profiler or a Bogner. I think it's
03:15both of those, actually, depending on the tone. But the beautiful thing about the Kempers is everything
03:20can be automated. So all of our tones, we have different scenes for each song in our set list.
03:26So for instance, our first song, the set is Drunk and Venting. We have five different tones for that
03:31song. And we are allowed, or we are able to MIDI all of our tone changes through Ableton, our session
03:38running playback. And when certain parts of the song hit, the tone changes automatically. So I don't
03:43have to have any pedals at my feet or anything like that. Just all is automated based on what we're
03:48running in our Ableton session. The primary effects that we're using are going to be reverb, chorus,
03:52delay, reverb, very 80s-influenced. Yeah, just kind of let that amp simulator shine through it.
04:12The Morgan AC 20 is amazing. All right, so this is our playback rack. All of our backing tracks,
04:21as well as our vocals, are processed through this rack right here. We've got our Mio right here. This
04:28handles all the MIDI, all of the guitar effects that I was talking about earlier. We plug our Kempers
04:33in through here in the back. And this is what controls all of our tone changes throughout the
04:37Ableton session in each song. We have our Apollo. This runs vocal processing. So the vocals actually
04:43run through the playback as well to do, you know, light auto-tune certain parts of the set,
04:48reverb, any other vocal effects that we need, just all through that Apollo right there. And then we've
04:55got our Play Audio, which is our actual interface that is running the multi-tracks. So we have all of
05:04our tracks set to stereo. We plug in this Snake into our X32 in the back here. And it's 10 channels of
05:12playback. So everything can be mixed individually and just kind of sound as full as possible.
05:17All right. So these are the picks that we're using. We are sponsored by Intune Guitar Picks. We've got
05:23custom picks throughout through them. We've got Dream Fun on one side, Postmanic with our signatures on the
05:28other side. I personally use kind of medium gauge like 0.77. Richie uses heavier stuff, but this is what I
05:35like. And I've been using this exact pick gauge and company for probably five years now. And I love
05:43them. I would never go with anything else. For in-ears, we are through Ultimate Ears. I'm using
05:48five driver in-ears custom molds through the company. That was the weirdest experience of my
05:54life was getting my ears molded. I went to an audiologist in, I believe, Burbank, California,
06:00who also worked for Van Halen, which was a really cool experience. They molded my ears
06:04and I use those every night. Thank you so much for watching. Again, this is Reese from Dream
06:07Phone. We have an album out called Postmanic. We are releasing new singles right now. Our latest
06:12single is called Chaotic. It's out wherever you stream music. Follow us at Dream Phone on

06:20time.
