00:05Just a day after Eric revealed that he's been diagnosed with amyotrafic lateral sclerosis,

00:11also known as ALS, his Euphoria co-star is offering his support.

00:17While attending the 2025 NBCU Emmy Luncheon in Los Angeles, April 11th,

00:23Coleman tells people that he didn't learn of Eric's health struggle until it was announced publicly.

00:28Saying to the outlet,

00:30Euphoria was renewed for a third season in February 2022,

00:43and after several delays, production finally began earlier this year.

00:48The two actors star opposite each other in the HBO drama series with Coleman playing Ali,

00:54the sponsor of Zendaya's character Rue,

00:56and Eric is Cal Jacobs, the father to Jacob Elordi's Nate.

01:01The Grey's Anatomy alum announced earlier this week that he had been diagnosed with the rare degenerative disease.

01:08Telling people in an interview published April 10th,

01:11I have been diagnosed with ALS.

01:14I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.

01:20Eric, who shares daughters 15-year-old Billy and 13-year-old Georgia with wife Rebecca Gayhart continued,

01:26I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week.
