00:00From promise to plate, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s 20 peso of rice is now a reality in Biliran, bringing real relief to families who need it most.
00:11As our Lailani Tupas from Philippine Information Agency, Biliran, tells us more.
00:18In fulfillment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s promise, the sale of rice at 20 pesos per kilo has officially rolled out in the province of Biliran.
00:26This initiative aims to ease the burden of rising food costs for Filipino families, particularly in rural communities.
00:35For residents like Aling Lorida Comadeso from Naval Biliran, this program is more than just affordable rice. It's a lifeline.
00:56Another beneficiary, Romeo Criscano, also expresses gratitude and hopes the initiative continues for the long term.
01:17The provincial government has already prepared at least 155 bags of high-quality, locally sourced rice for initial distribution to identified low-income families.
01:34Meanwhile, localized rollouts are expected to begin soon across all eight municipalities of Biliran province,
01:42making quality, affordable rice more accessible to those who need it most.
01:47From the Philippine Information Agency, Biliran, Mary Lailani Tupas, Pembalitan Pambansai.
