00:00The rise for all program of the government was felt by the families on the second day.

00:11Today is the second day of lowering the price of rice in the markets under the rise for all program.

00:20Here in Pagasa Community Mart, in Project 6, here in Quezon City,

00:242 pesos per kilo is already lower than the price of the local regular milled and well-milled rice.

00:32According to the owners of the rice, as long as it meets their requirement when they buy their supply,

00:38they will be able to lower the price.

00:41In the price monitoring of the DA, the cheapest local rice or the regular milled is between P38 to P45 per kilo.

00:49The well-milled is between P42 to P52 per kilo.

00:53And the local premium is between P46 to P58 per kilo.

00:58But when it comes to imported rice, it's limited.

01:01It's hard for them to lower the price of P55 per kilo because of the high price of their supply back then.

01:07It's really noteworthy that there are still some who sell imported rice that is still P58.

01:16As far as I can remember, this was the maximum suggested retail price back then.

01:20But they couldn't keep up with the P55 price.

01:23As for those who sell, when their old stock runs out, it's easier for them to lower the price.

01:32The local regular milled are expected to lower the price when their old stock runs out.
