00:01Ludiline, a manicurist who has three children, earns just enough to buy her supply of rice.

00:25To ease the burden on families like Ludiline's who struggle with the rising prices of rice,

00:29the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. is set to roll out the sale of the long-awaited 20 peso per kilo rice.

00:37Bilang pagtupad sa pangako ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. nang abot kayang presyo ng bigas,

00:43inanunsyo kahapon ng Department of Agriculture na magsisimula na silang magbenta ng bigas sa halagang 20 pesos kada kilo.

00:53The program will begin in the Visayas region where NFA rice supply is abundant

00:57and initial coordination with local governments has already begun.

01:01The government aims to expand this nationwide by 2028.

01:05Ito po ay ipapatupad po talaga nationwide at hindi lamang po ito ang naisin at aspirasyon ng ating Pangulo.

01:14At sa susunod pong taon na naisin po natin na mabigyan po ng sapat na pondo

01:20nang hindi na rin po kakailanganin ang anumang tulong mula sa LGUs.

01:24So, yan po ay bibigyan po ng pondo para po maibisan po talaga ang kahirapan sa pagbili po ng napakamahal na bigas.

01:33Each consumer will be allowed to buy up to 40 kilos of rice monthly.

01:38Available at Kadiwa stores through local governments and in designated LGU-approved locations.

01:43For Ludiline, this initiative is a big help for her family.

01:47If the rice she buys at 60 pesos per kilo drops to 20 pesos, she could save nearly 1,600 pesos each month.

01:55Halimbawa, magsan niyo po, gagamitin niyo, matitipig niyo, may tatno kayong mga anak.

02:00Pambili po ng ulam, nakabili po ako ng mga school supplies ng mga anak ko.

02:05Tulad niyan, malapit na yung pasukan.

02:07For Ludiline, the President's rice program reflects a government that listens and cares.

02:13Sobrang saya siguro kasi hindi na kailangan ng maraming trabaho.

02:17Hindi na kailangan maraming pagkudkud ng paa para makabili ng bigas.

02:24Kasi siguro, sobrang saya ko po pagka natupad po niya yun na 20 pesos lang ang kilo ng bigas.
