00:00Let's see what happened with markets in Toronto and abroad today.

00:08It was real trouble as Canadian and US markets were unsettled at the start of the week

00:14after President Trump announced a 100% tariff on foreign-made films

00:19citing concerns over the decline of the US movie industry.

00:23Investors are still cautious and keeping that way ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy decision coming up.

00:29Meanwhile, as for the indices themselves, the TSX gave up almost 78 points and the Venture fell almost half a point.

00:37The Dow fell 98 points and the NASDAQ lost 134.

00:47As for the top-gaining TSX stocks on the day, Thinkific Labs rose 62%,

00:54Enthusiast Gaming Holdings leveled up 33%,

00:57and Resverlogix Corp carved out 28.5% in gains.

01:03But the stocks that saw the biggest drop were…

01:11Both Vertical Studios and Selden Mining Capital took the top spot,

01:15down 25%, each trading at a penny,

01:18and NexSource Materials lost 19.64.
