00:00Let's see what happened with markets in Toronto today.

00:06Canada's main stock index rallied higher on Wednesday,

00:09excelling beyond the previous session's record high.

00:12The financial sector once again led gains in the TSX,

00:15thanks to positive results from major banks.

00:18U.S. stocks lost ground a day after the Dow Jones Industrial Average

00:23snapped a four-day losing streak.

00:26As for the TSX, it added 14 points while the venture shed half a point.

00:31On Wall Street, the Dow fell 244 points and the NASDAQ lost almost 100.

00:42To the highest gaining TSX stocks on the day,

00:45it's a tie for first as Sullivan Mining Capital meets Ells Nutrition at 33% growth today.

00:51This comes as the food and nutrition company has expanded nationwide

00:56with its kids ready-to-drink shakes in a thousand U.S. stores.

01:00And Flintcorp was up 20%.

01:08The stocks seeing the steepest drop were Euphraxia Pharmaceuticals down 23%,

01:13Enthusiast Gaming fell 15%,

01:16and Sierra Metals scraped off 14%.
