Showers in the south-east, dry and mostly sunny elsewhere

00:00G'day from the Bureau with your national weather forecast around the country for

00:04Tuesday the 29th of April. The main story will be this high-pressure system

00:09dominating weather right across the country and that means dry weather for

00:13many of us across Australia. Though we will see showers through parts of South

00:17Australia, Victoria and New South Wales and maybe Tasmania as well. While the

00:22rest of the country remains dry there may see a few showers and storms across

00:25our tropical north. But let's have a look at all this in more detail firstly

00:29in Queensland. We're going to see a warm and dry sunny day for much of the state

00:34with temperatures in the mid to high 20s through inland areas and getting to 30

00:38degrees along the northern tropical coastal areas. Could see the odd shower in the

00:42north tropical coast and the far north but little if any elsewhere. And down in the

00:47southeast looking like a dry and partly cloudy day with the odd coastal shower.

00:50Brisbane a partly cloudy 28 degrees. Now down into New South Wales it will be a

00:56bit wetter across the state on Tuesday with lots of showers across the eastern and

01:01coastal parts of New South Wales. It will be drier and cooler inland and also through

01:06northeastern parts of the state. Sydney looking at a showery 24 degrees.

01:11Canberra could also see a couple of showers and 21. Moving down into Victoria a

01:17similar story with showers developing through southern areas becoming quite

01:21widespread through eastern and central parts of the state during the afternoon and

01:24evening hours. Though remaining dry across our north with temperatures around 20

01:29degrees and into the high teens across southern areas. Melbourne looking at a

01:33fine start but a showery end and 18 degrees. Moving down into Tasmania it will be a

01:39mostly fine day across much of the state. Temperatures in the low to mid teens for

01:44many areas. Could see just the odd isolated shower but most will remain dry. Hobart

01:49possible shower and 14 degrees. Now moving up into South Australia it will stay warm and

01:55dry across northern parts of the state. We could see some showers develop through

01:59much of southern agricultural areas and southern coastal areas of South Australia

02:04on Tuesday. So welcome rainfall for those that do get it but won't be heavy at all.

02:08Adelaide looking at a few showers and 22 degrees. Moving across into Western Australia

02:14going to see a dry and warm and sunny day for much of the state. Maybe a bit breezy

02:19about the Pilbara coast with those gusty sea breezes and low 30s. Getting into the

02:23high 20s as we move further south then low 20s about the south coast. Perth looking at

02:28a dry warm and sunny 26 degrees. And finally across the tropical north really

02:34starting to dry out through parts of the Kimberley and also inland parts of the Cape

02:38York. But still a tropical low north of the top end could still bring showers and storms

02:42across parts of the top end there. Darwin showers possible storm and 30 degrees. And if you want
