00:00Right now, it is the second date update.

00:02We are trying to match Kyle back up on another date with his, a girl, I should say, that

00:06he's very confident about.

00:08Yeah.

00:08Her name is Maya, and they went out to eat.

00:11They actually met in line at Starbucks, the old-fashioned way, I guess you could say.

00:15Yeah, but he said he absolutely cannot think of anything that happened before, during,

00:20or after the date that would make her not want to call.

00:22So we need to find out what's going on.

00:24All right.

00:24So, Kevin, you have her on hold?

00:26Yes, I do.

00:27Let's bring her on right now.

00:28Maya, are you there?

00:30Yeah, hi.

00:31Hey, Maya.

00:32Thanks for agreeing to talk to us this morning.

00:34We're going to try to make this quick, because I know you said you had to get to work.

00:37Maya, we just want to ask you about a date you went on, and we heard about this guy, Kyle,

00:41that you met at Starbucks and then went out to eat with, and he is very, very into you

00:48and really could see himself, I think he even said, see himself dating you and want to see

00:54you again.

00:55But he has had no luck in getting a hold of you since your guys' date, and we were just

01:00trying to figure out what's going on.

01:02You know, Kyle, he's really nice.

01:06He's very sweet.

01:07He's a perfect gentleman.

01:09I just think that somebody in his situation doesn't have time for a girlfriend, and I don't

01:15think I have time for somebody in his situation.

01:19Okay.

01:19Now I've got to ask, what is his situation?

01:22He's an assistant to his boss.

01:25Okay.

01:28She calls, like, in the middle of our date.

01:30He's like, oh, wait, hold on, like, let me just take this with my boss.

01:33He gets up from the table, takes a call, whatever.

01:36But then he's consistently, or constantly, texting him, and, like, multiple texts throughout

01:44our dinner, and he's like, hold on for a second, and he has to, like, you know, answer

01:49her, like, right away.

01:51And, like, I just don't think I could go out with a guy who's, like, being bossed around

01:56by this lady.

01:57I mean, it was, like, 8 or 9 o'clock at night.

01:59Like, what does he need to answer her for?

02:01Well, a lot of businesses are 24-7 sometimes, and we know things don't close just because

02:06it's 5 o'clock on a Friday.

02:07But I get it.

02:08He's on a date.

02:09He should have put his phone away.

02:11Yeah, exactly.

02:11And she should know better, I feel like.

02:14I mean, like, could he not have told his boss, like, hey, I'm on a date, so I won't be available

02:19from this time to this time or something.

02:21I don't know if I could tell my boss that.

02:23That is tough, because he is in a weird situation when it comes to, hey, I can't talk to you right

02:29now when it's his boss.

02:30I mean, I kind of get where he's coming from and where he kind of felt stuck, probably.

02:35And so this is the only reason you're not getting back to him?

02:37There was nothing wrong on the date other than this?

02:39No, I mean, like, he's a nice call, but, like, he's, like, at her beck and call.

02:43Okay.

02:44Or is that a problem because he has a female boss?

02:47No, it's just, like, he's being bossed around.

02:50What's his boss?

02:51I mean, I guess I'd feel the same if it was a man, but, like, yeah.

02:55I feel like he's being taken advantage of.

02:58Well, listen, here's the deal, Maya.

02:59We have Kyle on the phone with us, and I can see how you would be annoyed that you're getting

03:06interrupted during your date.

03:07But you said it yourself.

03:09Kyle's a really nice guy.

03:10Let's bring him on real quick.

03:11Do you mind if we talk to him, too?

03:13No.

03:14Okay.

03:15Kyle, are you there?

03:16Maya, what's going on?

03:18How are you?

03:20I'm fine.

03:21I'm doing great.

03:22Hey, I heard what you were saying.

03:26I get it, but I'm a personal assistant to a person that's very busy, and I have to take

03:33their calls, texts, whatever it is, when it comes.

03:39I don't even know what to say.

03:41All I can do is apologize.

03:42It is what it is.

03:43I am so sorry.

03:46I would really love to see you again.

03:48Kyle, is this something that happens a lot?

03:50Do you get hit up later at night for things that she needs?

03:54No.

03:55It's kind of seasonal.

03:57You know, sometimes in the year, certain times of the month.

04:00It might be a certain weekday.

04:02I might be more apt to get those calls or texts.

04:05It's not all the time, but it just happened to be that particular time.

04:09But it's just one of those things where if she calls, you've got to pick it up.

04:13I have to take that call, yes.

04:15Okay.

04:16She's not a doctor or anything.

04:18She's, like, in sales.

04:18So, I'm like, you're at your phone.

04:21I feel like she's totally taking advantage of you.

04:24You know, it's a right now type of thing.

04:27I'm looking at a future position, either with this company or with another one.

04:32Within the next six months to a year, it's not something that's going to be forever that I'm doing.

04:37Sounds like there's a plan, and he recognizes it.

04:39And he's a hard worker, obviously.

04:41That's a huge thing right there, girl.

04:43So, I mean, Maya, would you be willing to give him another shot as far as, like, another date?

04:48I mean, hopefully you don't get interrupted a bunch.

04:50Maybe he can say something and set that up.

04:52I mean, I'm willing to go on another date.

04:56But if you pick up the phone once, like, I think it's, I'm not going to give you a third chance.

05:04If he strikes, you're out.

05:05I mean, Kyle, you heard what you had to say.

05:40I mean, if that's your job, to be a personal assistant, I mean, there's got to be some boundaries

05:43at some point, but you can't just say, hey, I'm not taking your phone calls right now.

05:47I mean, then you're going to be out of a job.

05:49I mean, maybe he could have a talk with his boss ahead of time that says, hey, listen,

05:53I've got an important meeting that I need to be at.

05:56You won't be able to, I won't be able to take your call for the next couple hours or something

05:59like that.
