00:00All right, it is the second date update right now where we're trying to match two people up on another date.

00:04We have just talked to Rob, and he seems pretty confident in his date with Marissa.

00:09Yeah, he really, really likes her, but obvious she liked him back because after they had dinner,

00:14they actually went to another place and had a drink, and he said the night ended good.

00:18Okay, so we're going to try to call Marissa because he has not heard from her since their date.

00:22Let's do that right now.

00:30Hello?

00:40Hi, good morning. Is this Marissa?

00:42Yeah, this is Marissa.

00:44Hey, Marissa. This is going to kind of catch you off guard, I think,

00:48but this is actually J.R., Lana, and Kevin over here at 99.5QIK.

00:53Good morning. The radio station?

00:55That's us, yeah. Do you think we could talk to you for a couple minutes on the air?

01:02All right, well, I appreciate that.

01:03Let me just tell you what this is about.

01:05This is about a date you went on, and it's about a date you went on with a guy named Rob.

01:10We heard you guys went to Currants in Tarpon Springs

01:13and then actually ended up grabbing a drink afterwards at another place,

01:17and he is really looking forward to seeing you again.

01:21We were hoping we could make that happen.

01:23What's going on with you guys?

01:25You're not talking to him since the date. What's going on?

01:31That's right, because I guess you're not answering his calls.

01:47So, Rob, let me just start by saying Rob is a nice guy

01:52and has a really big heart, you can tell.

01:58We had a really good time.

01:59Enough to where after dinner I was down to go get drinks.

02:06and sometimes you walk into a bar and they've got, like, events.

02:09They were doing karaoke nights that night.

02:11Rob decided to put his name in to do a song,

02:16and it was his turn.

02:18He pops up and he gets on the microphone,

02:20and he proceeds to, like, introduce himself in the song

02:25as, like, a dedication to me

02:27and does this, like, really kind of, in hindsight, creepy,

02:32but, like, weird.

02:34This song is dedicated to Marissa.

02:38She's so beautiful.

02:39She's so wonderful.

02:40I mean, like, I just met this guy, okay?

02:42Oh.

02:43Like, dedicate yourself to me and everything,

02:45but, like, okay.

02:46It just got weird.

02:47So then he proceeds to sing this really, like, romantic

02:51Ed Sheeran song.

02:53It was, like, a serenade.

03:01Well, it was dedicated to her.

03:45and it was so bad.

03:47It was so embarrassing.

03:48People around us were laughing.

03:51I was maroon red in the face.

03:53Anyway.

03:54But sweet?

03:55I mean, if your first date, and he's singing to you?

03:59It would have been sweet if we had been dating for a little bit,

04:02or, like, you know, I knew him more than just four hours.

04:06But, like, it was just awkward.

04:09You just feel like you got kind of put on the spot?

04:11I was so embarrassed.

04:12I was put on the spot.

04:14Like, everything but a spotlight directly on me is what it felt like.

04:19I wish you would have been awesome and just crushed it.

04:27because we do have Rob on the phone with us as well.

04:38I'm just kind of confused.

04:53And I know that you meant well with that.

04:55But, I mean, I could have just not done that and been justified.

05:00It was a great performance.

05:03Like, and I've never had anyone complain about my voice before.

05:05And I was just trying to make the night special.

05:09I love that no one has ever complained about your voice.

05:13That's really sweet of them, too.

05:15You're not like a bunch of bag of dying cats or anything.

05:20But, um, on top of the fact that, like, maybe you're not the next Ed Sheeran, I was so embarrassed at the fact of how you called me out.

05:32You dedicated the song to me.

05:34And, I mean, you said things about me as if we had been dating for years.

05:40I didn't mean to embarrass you, obviously.

05:42And if I did embarrass you, I apologize.

05:45Obviously, people who were there, you know, in the room, they were probably jealous because they weren't getting a song dedicated to them.

05:52No, they were making those faces and looking uncomfortable because they wanted to die a little.

05:58Well, I think we maybe should, uh, listen to Rob sing and be the judges ourselves, don't you?
