00:00All right, Vanessa's reached out to us today for the second date updates, commercial-free

00:05Obviously, she is very disappointed that she has not heard back from her date, Ryan.

00:09Yeah, they went out to some Mexican restaurant in Newport Ritchie, and things are going so

00:14well, he went back to her place, and she said, not like he stayed over or anything, but they

00:19had a really good time, and she wants to see this guy again, and she doesn't really understand

00:22because she thought he was really into her.

00:24All right, so we have him on hold right now.

00:26Let's talk to him directly right now.

00:28Ryan, you there?

00:30I am.

00:30Hello.

00:30Hey, Ryan, you know what this is about, and you just heard us talking about your guys'

00:35date.

00:35What's going on, man?

00:36Why are you not getting back to this girl?

00:38Well, I'm not sure if she looked me up somehow or found out what I did before she asked me

00:44on the date, but I'm an IT.

00:46I do IT work, and it seems like all she really cared about was me fixing her computer, to

00:51be perfectly honest with you.

00:52Like, yes, we went out to dinner, and then we're at dinner, and she invites me back to

00:56her place, and we get there, and instantly, like, within a minute of being there, she's

01:01got the laptop in my lap asking me if I could take a look at it.

01:05Okay.

01:05So, you know, like I said, at that point, I thought the date went pretty well so far,

01:09but, you know, all right, whatever.

01:11You know, this happens kind of often.

01:13So, any of my friends, anybody that I know that has a computer always asks me to look

01:17at it, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

01:18So, I look at it thinking maybe it'll be a quick fix.

01:21It's not.

01:21I spend the next three hours trying to fix this computer that has no storage space, that

01:27has, you know, malware.

01:29It's just, her computer's a wreck.

01:31She should probably throw it out and get a new one.

01:33Three hours?

01:34About three hours I spend working on this stupid computer.

01:37That's not a fun date.

01:38And the whole time, she's just kind of, you know, fluttering about her apartment and talking

01:42on the phone to friends, and then she comes back and sits down with me for a minute and

01:46then goes off and does other things, and I'm basically just there working.

01:50It's not a date at this point.

01:51I'm working.

01:52I can totally understand that.

01:54When I told her, you know, after three hours of working on it, that it needed more work

01:59still, and I'm not going to be able to get it all done tonight, she pretty much just wrapped

02:02up the date.

02:03Like, oh, okay, well, maybe we'll just do this another time then.

02:07All right, you know, have a good night.

02:10So, once you were done working on the computer, the date was over?

02:13Pretty much, yeah.

02:14Okay, gotcha.

02:15So, you're feeling a little bit used in this situation, huh?

02:18A lot of it used.

02:20All right, and now she's been reaching out to you, right, to hang out, and has it been

02:24about the computer, or?

02:26She hasn't said anything about the computer.

02:28She's doing everything under the guise of another date, but I'm not going on another date,

02:32because I know what's going to end up happening.

02:33She's going to bring her back to her place.

02:35It's going to be another night of playing on the computer, and I don't want to do that.

02:37All right, well, I get it that you felt a little used here, Ryan.

02:42We do have Vanessa on the phone with us as well, so she did reach out to us to hang out

02:47with you again.

02:49So, Vanessa.

02:51Honestly, I'm kind of shocked.

02:53It's like, why would I have contacted you and gone through all this trouble if all I wanted

02:58was just for my computer to be fixed?

03:01Because I haven't fixed it yet?

03:05I actually already got it fixed since the last time you were there.

03:11I didn't look up any people in IT to go on a date with them, and then just have them

03:18come over and fix my computer.

03:20I genuinely liked you, and your profession is just, it's a bonus.

03:26You know, it was convenient in the moment, but it certainly isn't the reason why I wanted

03:31to see you or want to see you again.

03:33I had a good time.

03:35Then why did you spend so much time not even with me when I was working on it?

03:39Because you were working on it.

03:42And for the record, you also didn't try to talk to me during it, so I didn't know that

03:47if that was your method, you needed quiet.

03:50I don't know.

03:51But it certainly wasn't, I certainly didn't ask you, I didn't go out with you just because

03:58you're able to fix a computer or because you work in IT.

04:01I'm sorry that you felt that way, but that certainly wasn't the intention.

04:06I wanted to see you.

04:08All right.

04:08Well, the computer's fixed, so that problem's out of the way.

04:11So you don't have to worry about it anymore.

04:12Yeah.

04:13So what do you think, Ryan?

04:14Would you be willing to see her again since, you know, that's not the issue anymore?

04:18She's not about that.

04:19Yeah.

04:19No, she still has an iPad that's broken, just so you know.

04:23And a phone.

04:28It wasn't a date.

04:29It was me going to work and a meal that I paid for.

04:32If I'm being honest, I think he's probably right.

04:35I don't think that this will work out now that hearing him on the call, I think that

04:40this isn't the right fit if this is the reaction.

04:43You know, I wish you nothing but the best, but, you know, I'll just use my fixed computer

04:49to go on another app and meet another person.

04:53But I do wish you nothing but the best, truly.

04:56I hope that your future person doesn't ask you for help with anything.
