00:05in just a little bit but i read a little note that i wrote to roy yesterday in the seven o'clock

00:10hour and loren you've written something and you'd like to read it to roy yeah i did and i've been

00:15writing it for a few days and i finished it yesterday and i know i'm gonna cry because i

00:20cried writing it and i'm already i'm already here you cried as we walked out and passed like

00:26concession stands last night you were crying i know and like we got outside and i was like can

00:31we just savor this moment and look yeah all right roy where do i begin when i met you you were just

00:39a sheltered little 23 year old pup from roanoke virginia who had never been in a building taller

00:44than four stories from the day i met you your optimistically naive demeanor intrigued me

00:51the more time i spent with you your heart made me love you our adventures together made you my

00:59brother and in the last seven years i've watched you grow into the man i am proud to call not just

01:06my co-host but my family when i look back at our show i remember so many moments on and off the radio

01:13like the time you made me laugh so hard i almost peed my pants when you ran through the wall like the

01:20kool-aid man yep when you fell through your mom's floor oh yeah and every single time you remind me

01:26the woofer is really dead and not at the vet you gotta get past it you just got to you made me cry

01:32when you took the biggest step of your life and spontaneously came out on the radio to help a

01:37listener and in doing that you impacted so many lives more than you will truly ever know

01:42you have helped me personally through some of the hardest moments of my life off the mic

01:47and for that i am eternally grateful

01:51you just being a shoulder to cry on you have shown me such true love and loyalty and i want to thank you

02:00you know you've made such an impact in our community and i hope you truly do know that

02:07you've touched so many people along the way and that actually gives me pride sending you off to

02:13since nasty because i know you will touch even more hearts along your journey and i hope your road

02:20eventually brings you back to charlotte and our show i'm so proud i'm so proud of the now 23 year old

02:31boy who made it to the top of charlotte skyscrapers and the penthouse of the chateau

02:59that's the way i felt like my relationship with him is laughter your relationship with him you just

03:04said it you know he was he was the person that was there for you i'm not that person no you're not

03:10there for no you you i had a hard enough time being there for myself you know what i mean but

03:16anyway it's his kindness it's his caring and you are 100 right i talked to a woman last night at our

03:22singles event we're gonna take a break here in a second but i talked to someone last night at our

03:25singles event who said because of roy she's comfortable with her gay son and i said comfortable

03:31and she goes yeah like my whole family uh is not comfortable but because i listened to the show

03:36and because of roy my relationship with my gay son is perfect good so good it's amazing good for you
