00:21it was a manager what was the restaurant that you were visiting last night where

00:28this revelation was revealed this is where i first noticed this oh you noticed something

00:35boy did i uh where were you what's the name of the place a fine taco establishment called tijuana

00:42flats is this the one where the lady knew you and yeah yeah so i go to tijuana flats probably once

00:50a month which one uh well uh the one on in north tampa on del mabry and van dyke what are you

00:56forgetting where it is well no i just didn't think i'd be asking the address right now i don't need

01:00the exact address just like so it's north tampa tijuana flats 16804 north del mabry highway no

01:06it's del mabry and van dyke by the way you're not supposed to say tijuana it's tijuana tijuana

01:13tijuana flat all right so you go to tijuana flats yes and you notice something you walk in and you

01:21noticed a decor difference yes like i said i'm about a once a monther all right taco tuesday

01:27would go there kids have a good time get the two tacos it's great jeez and uh they've always had

01:33the insta not instacart uh the doordash grubhub rack that you see in all the restaurants it's not

01:40instacart that's the shopping at the supermarket but all these deliveries am i missing any is there's

01:44doordash there's grubhub there's i've been in places uh for instance i could i could list a whole

01:50bunch of places you walk in and they'll have an area where the food delivery app orders are sitting

01:58so the drivers just run in they look for their order and then they just leave and then go deliver

02:04it so the the rack was always right next to the door nice rack it was a nice rack six shelves it's

02:12like six and a half feet tall plenty of room to put the stuff in and it had you know delivery orders

02:18signs and people would come in and i would watch people in months past walk in check the tag take

02:24the food walk out you go into tijuana flats yesterday and you notice oh the delivery rack

02:32is not not there it's it's no longer in the same spot they moved it they moved it to behind

02:38the counter the rack is now behind the counter ladies and gentlemen a relocated rack so that's right

02:46well you had that done at what age you had a relocated rack right so while it took roxanne

02:59addition however they moved it to behind the counter where only staff can get to it and they put a very

03:03official looking paper sign on it that said please wait for assistance before removing bags from the

03:09shelf you want to show that sign fester took a picture of the sign and it's on his cell phone

03:14show the camera coop is that good on mj tv can you see it yeah it looks clear all right there's a sign

03:19and then and then here i took a picture of the whole rack with some guy standing next to it in jean

03:22shorts nice right down the hallway and they move it behind where the employees only are and i noticed

03:29it i mentioned something to alice and she's like who cares and i was like yeah you're probably right i go

03:33i bet you they've lost a bunch of meals or something got misplaced or somebody might have taken the wrong

03:39stuff so fester being the inquisitive uh media personality that you are you inquired did you say

03:47hey could i talk to the manager it was really an mj morning show i team investigation really

03:52investigation on taco tuesday wow oh that's right yesterday was tuesday did you tell the kids it was

03:58taco tuesday yes say they they know it's it's a big deal like i said once a month we're we're down for

04:03tacos so this is a special i team investigation with fester at tijuana flats

04:13all right so you ask an employee or the manager what happens manager comes walking around there's

04:23pretty good customer service they always get refills they always do good table service and the manager

04:28i didn't get his name did you happen to have a microphone in your pocket that you whipped out and

04:31said this is your action news reporter on the scene at tijuana flats uh excuse me sir i'm fester from the

04:37mj morning show can you please tell us uh why did the uh food app rack move so i didn't go to that

04:44extent yeah i played it a little more low key i tried to blend in with the rest of the clientele

04:49and uh the manager i didn't get his name he probably had some manager name like chet or skip or brock

04:56or something like that by the way wasn't brock your manager at arby's that you lasted for like a week

05:01yes the manager which i thought was the coolest name at the time which which arby's is that by

05:06the way gosh i don't even think it's still there i think it was like somewhere in seminole or largo

05:09is that arby's still there i don't know i haven't been in that neighborhood in years and how many

05:13days did you last at arby's two one and a half one one and a half days arby's we have the meat

05:23maybe arby's moved their rack as well but the rack is now behind the counter all right so tijuana flats

05:29north tampa rack is now behind the so you ask the manager okay so you move the rack and he's like

05:34yeah we yeah we had to and i was like i had to what happened i go did you lose some meals he goes

05:40some we lost hundreds of meals and the thing was gotta be thousands of dollars thousands and

05:45thousands of dollars people would come in a theft because there's packaged meals right by the door

05:51i always thought about this i always thought about this racket that you could walk into places

05:57just walk in and no one's gonna look twice they're gonna think that you're the uber eats guy or the

06:02door dash guy you grab a bag of food with four or five styrofoam containers you're a real

06:08thieving pack of crap you can what you can have a rotation every single night you just figure out all

06:16the restaurants that have these takeaway shelves or racks where the the food app drivers just walk in

06:24to grab legitimate orders to then deliver it to people's houses if you wanted to be a real thief

06:31and eat well and varied every night of the week you can have a whole rotation of places you walk in the

06:36front door you grab a package and no one's gonna think twice they're thinking you're the delivery guy

06:41how bad could the order be granted you have no idea what you're getting but i'm sure it's pretty

06:46good or or you can pretend like you're looking at the ticket to see if it's the right name for

06:51the fake pickup and maybe there's also a uh a little list of what's in the box a little receipt

06:58on there that shows the order they should have a locking system so and i have something to add to

07:03your investigation but keep going okay oh okay tell me when you're ready to add it so then i was

07:08like oh yeah is that a side dish you have a little side dish going on but he says he says listen theft

07:14wasn't the wasn't the only part of it the other side was drivers who were in a hurry drivers not

07:19checking the right tags drivers picking up the wrong order legitimate drivers would grab the wrong order

07:25occasionally there was a communication error or there were customers with the same last name and

07:30they would take the you know i'm here for the oh my god there are five schnitz yes where all these

07:36schnitz come from well all right at least they would mess up and then what happened the straw that

07:42broke the tijuana flats back was somebody the straw that broke the taco shell they somebody or that

07:49would be a crispy taco shell not the flour tortilla somebody ordered three platters of steak burritos oh

07:56my god burritos they were a lunch at their office they called ahead wow and they ordered and it was

08:01hundreds of dollars you know how did that accidentally get picked up or was that a

08:05that was a that was a theft it was stolen they don't know how it left my premise god at the tijuana

08:12flats might have been the mexican drug cartel it might have been el chapo behind that theft

08:16something for the party if el chapo wants very very authentic uh tacos at a very reasonable price

08:23he goes try to get some flautas so so he we gotta we got a tunnel we got a tunnel from the border

08:29underneath the border right into the back storage room at the tijuana flats he loves these smack my

08:35ass and call me sally sauce that they have there anyway uh the that was the straw that broke their

08:40back and he's like we can't then they had to remake the order oh yeah all the food costs all the

08:44labor all the time and look at food costs right now food costs are through the freaking roof

08:48so i told the guys like now everybody has to check in and they hand the bag to the driver

08:53i also well guess what that is going to clearly eliminate theft and mistakenly picked up orders

09:00so then i gas up my car after i dropped my family off i ran out to get some gas because i hate to get

09:04gas in the morning gas up at tijuana flats first oh well i gassed up my tank at tijuana flats

09:10duh duh that's what i'm saying and then i gassed up my lincoln's tank at the wawa very good

09:15the wawa near my house had the little wire rack right by the front door for door dash also it's

09:22gone so the wawa also well listen at a wawa it's even like more transient all the people in and out

09:30just grab a sandwich half the people sitting outside the wawa all day are transient
