00:52oh yeah you can tell it's all an act designed to tug on your heartstrings they stand outside
01:00stores and businesses as if they're playing the violin and they solicit donations from people as
01:05they're coming in and out of stores he says there's usually a sign asking for money to help buy food
01:10pay rent or take care of their family sometimes a woman or children are standing nearby as the
01:16musician plays along with an instrumental track according to investigators that story is usually
01:23a sham and most of the time not even the serenade is sincere the performer is actually finger sinking
01:29to the music they will stand there and act as if they are playing the violin but they are not actually
01:34playing the second we pull up they drop the violin but the music is still playing through the speaker
01:39but can people not tell the sounds not coming from
01:42the instrument it's coming it's plugged into the speaker
