00:13pissed what because she wanted to be less than a minute and she was a minute to say like almost a

00:21minute and three oh okay all right but she's pissed she wanted to get under a minute there

00:27she is here robbed julia hurricane hawkins is her name she was competing at the national senior

00:35game she started in the senior games when she was 80 suck on this oh my god you know how fast i am the

00:42hurricane retired teacher uh-huh she's won several gold medals at the senior games the other day she

00:51was at the louisiana senior games and she wanted to set a new record for the 100 meter well she did

00:58but she wanted to be faster she's now 105 and after the race where she recorded a record time of

01:03one minute hold on i mean i get it she's 105 but like what's a normal time nine seconds

01:15right 100 meter dash is like nine seconds right the world record is like 9.69 by right both i'm

01:25pretty sure right so 13 to 14 seconds is like a non-athlete can run 100 meter in 13 to 14 seconds

02:15have stopped for a snack she'd be real excited to talk about the race but she told us it's just a

02:19drop in the bucket when it comes to a race of life oh she's a tiny little thing too yeah suck on

02:28these apples whoa they're shooting at me she's shooting at me the jerry's oh god slow down

02:36oh my god more than a football field and has to stay in that lane despite not being able to see

02:56much more than about a foot in front of her oh my god i can't see it mostly by jogging a mile or two

03:03a day near her baton rouge hole back in 1948 on race day among those cheering her arm were two of

03:12the former students 90 year old rosemary oh my god 89 her students are 90 and 89 yeah that's great

03:21those chicks are hot she finished in just under one minute three seconds setting a world record

03:27as the oldest american and the first woman to run 100 meters stuck in her it is amazing i'm so happy

05:28she almost fell about 10 steps in yeah and it's like you know she can't i would run beside her with

05:34a mattress on either side of her running moving along the edges it's not the worst idea just to

05:39make either way she goes she'll just bounce off she won't have no idea i'm there yeah yeah so get the

05:46mattress crew out they should get her one of those like air inflated fat suits to run in

05:49so in case she falls yeah she falls it's okay well congrats to her yeah 105 still running just set a new

05:57world record which is pretty damn amazing
