00:05So Jalen Brown is at 59.

00:09Yeah, six of the final seven he'll need to play.

00:10So do you think that happens?

00:12It seems like Joe wants to let him do it if he's capable, and it seems like they've

00:16also come to a common agreement here that if he's able to do it and it doesn't jeopardize

00:21his help for the playoffs, he's going to go for it. But they don't want to risk at least

00:24question bowling again tonight, so we'll see. I think it's something he wants to do,

00:28but he's also understanding that they need him perfectly fine for the playoffs.

00:31Have you crunched the numbers yet on that? If he hits the threshold, do you think there's

00:35enough guys that miss it? Would he be all-NBA if he hits it? Because what if he goes for

00:41it and then still misses out on it?

00:43There was a couple guys that are really on the fringe right now of meeting the 65-game

00:48threshold, so you really won't really know until after.

00:50Let's assume everybody's trying to do the same thing. Everybody has six, seven, eight

00:53games left. All these guys, if they're healthy enough, are going to try to get to that threshold.

00:58Jalen Brunson's four games away, and he would get it over Brown.

01:02And he's been dealing with an ankle injury.

01:04It's going to be close. It depends. Kevin Durant is one. Jalen Brunson's another. If

01:09those guys are in, it complicates things. But as of right now, if those guys don't get

01:13in, I can see Jalen getting on the third team, absolutely.

01:15I would hate for them to do, and this is consistent, I criticize Josh Allen for doing

01:19this against the Patriots, keeping his stupid starting streak alive by coming out to run

01:23one play and then run over to the sideline.

01:25That's the thing, too.

01:26I hope they don't do that with Jalen, where they just wheel him out for a start or two.

01:30He plays two minutes and then hits the bench. That would be lame, so I hope they don't do

01:34that. If he's going to play, play.

01:36That's the thing, too, is if he's going out there and he's, first of all, not really

01:40playing much or he's playing poorly, it's going to tank his averages and really hurt

01:44his case.

01:45That's an interesting point.

01:46It's tough there because-

01:47You play a minute and go scoreless. That's going to hurt your per game average. Good

01:51point.

01:51His averages will go down, and if he shoots poorly, it's not going to help his case either.

01:56We've talked about this before, and it really shouldn't, but I think it does.

01:59Jalen also, I think, has some certain cachet because of winning Eastern Conference Finals

02:05and the NBA Finals MVP.

02:08That carries some weight.

02:09It shouldn't because it's a season award, but I think when you're looking at guys and

02:14how close they are, I think that kind of gives Jalen a push.
