00:00What's the likelihood Jalen Brown is on the move, Utah or anywhere else?
00:04I don't see it. I don't see it.
00:05I mean, I guess with Utah with the fifth pick,
00:07obviously there's a Boston connection with two angels now in Utah,
00:12but I just don't see them moving off Jalen Brown.
00:14I think for the most part, fans understood what was going on with the second apron,
00:18that they had to get under there for the restrictions, the penalties,
00:21whether or not you agree with it, that's a different story.
00:23But if you get under the second apron and then trade Jalen Brown or Derek White,
00:27I think that's where you run out of your free pass, right?
00:29In a way, they have a pass to kind of maneuver the way they've done things
00:32and the way they've operated because people understand they have to do it.
00:36But this is a new ownership group coming in now.
00:38They've accomplished the goal that they wanted, and they're not done yet, right?
00:40They're only $4.5 million under.
00:42There are more moves to come, but you're going to run out of that pass
00:45if you turn around and trade Jalen Brown or Derek White.
00:47Those are the guys that everyone kind of feels the feeling around
00:50is that they are going to build around them and Jason Tatum,
00:52and if you go off and offload one of them,
00:54that's how you really set a bad tone to the beginning of your ownership.
00:57And I know this is a salary dump very clearly.
01:00This is what they're doing.
01:01But I feel like it's a little bit different.
01:03So when you look at the Red Sox, Rafael Devers was having an all-star season.
01:07Right.
01:07Kristaps Porzingis played half a season and not in the playoffs.
01:11And then when he did play in the playoffs, he was tired after games.
01:14Like, I feel like, yeah, the return wasn't great for Porzingis,
01:18but you just couldn't rely on him.
01:19Like, I feel like a lot of fans probably feel the way I do,
01:22where you're like, all right, nice player.
01:23Thanks for the run on the title, but without Tatum next year,
01:27you need guys that are going to play and guys that you can rely on.
01:30So this sort of had to happen.
01:33Like, Porzingis being gone, like, okay, I don't think you're –
01:36you're not losing the guy that you're like, oh, he could be 20 points per game
01:40and, like, seven rebounds.
01:41Like, that guy's not really there.
01:42You can't rely on him.
01:43I will say I am a little bit worried for what it means for the offense now,
01:46though, and the defense at that.
01:48But, I mean, when he was on the floor, he did give them an entire other element
01:52that took them to another level.
01:54I know it was sparingly – we actually looked at it this morning.
01:56And, like, two playoff runs, though, where you couldn't even count on.
01:58And I think the last one this year, I mean, when they needed him most,
02:02when they were going stagnant against New York,
02:04they went out and got Christoph Porzingis for that reason,
02:06to get the offense back on track when that was happening,
02:09and he wasn't able to do it.
02:10So I think people did sour on him pretty quickly.
02:12And when it's all said and done, people will look back on his tenure here
02:14and be relatively happy, right?
02:16They won a championship.
02:17Game one alone, I think, was worth it.
