00:00It's just too soon to, you know, to talk about that, that stuff.
00:06I'm going to take some time here with my wife, with my kids, and just that.
00:15But, I mean, this was, it's not even been a day, so there's still a lot for me to process.
00:22And just feeling everything out from last night, that was difficult.
00:26I mean, I couldn't agree.
00:29Like, that's a player who knows they're not back.
00:31He's so gone.
00:32I feel like if Tatum was 100% healthy, and whether they won the title or not,
00:37I think there might have been a decent chance.
00:40Like, they weren't going to be able to offer him a lot of money,
00:42but I feel like he's never had a better time in his career than in Boston.
00:46I feel like he'd want to play his last year or two in Boston.
00:50Maybe you would have been able to convince him he's going for another title, all that stuff.
00:53If, without Tatum, we're talking about them being like a 4-5-6 seed next year,
00:58Horford's not going to be back.
01:00And it's probably good for both.
01:02Horford can go somewhere else on a better team, try to make one more run,
01:05maybe come off the bench as the first big off a bench somewhere,
01:09help a team win a title.
01:10And the Celtics don't need to spend money on, you know, 40-year-old Al Horford.
01:14How much do you think they're going to miss him?
01:16Because he's gone from a play, I used to, when they first gave him a max deal,
01:19years and years ago, I thought he was very overrated.
01:22I never thought he was like a foundational core member of like...
01:26Oh, I got him to like a screaming match with Kyle Draper one time,
01:29because Draper was like, he's a five-time all-star.
01:31I'm like, great!
01:32And I'm like, he's not like an all-star player for them, but...
01:34He's not a foundational big three type of player at the time.
01:37That's kind of how we were talking about it.
01:38They were in on Durant that same offseason.
01:40And so I used to think he was overrated.
01:43Where he's at now in his career, where he's a spot starter,
01:46but he's coming in off the bench, he's been a very, very valuable piece.
01:49Oh, he's had some big games for him, even this year, right?
01:52And some big spots last year.
01:55It's not a coincidence, I think, that Brad Stevens' first move
01:59when he got the job was to get Al Horford back.
02:02He got rid of Kemba Walker before he could even get his desk set up
02:05in his new office.
02:06Got rid of Kemba, brought in Al Horford.
02:08So I think Horford's a great teammate for guys like Brown and Tatum.
02:12And I think he will be missed, but it's a matter of you're trying to shed salary.
02:16You're not really a title contender next year.
