00:00The first day of the 2022 Arcana Autumn Sale was devoted to horses in training.

00:07The ever-popular Aga Khan Studs presented Lot 344 Carini, who set a historical record

00:13for the sale at €600,000.

00:16The three-year-old gelding by Siyouni, a treble winner and listed performer, attracted both

00:21buyers and under-bidders from down under.

00:56Lot 364 Joe Francais, a Group 3 winner on the mile coming out of Jean-Claude Rouget's

01:18yard, sold for €320,000.

01:22The decisive bid was placed online by the BBA Ireland team.

01:26Irish buyers were also very active, as often the Willy Mullins team was on the lookout.

01:31Its top purchase was the Wertheimer-bred Gauchet Lot 369, twice a winner, out of the

01:36Group 1 mare left hand by Francais.

01:39I'm trying to find the next hurricane fly.

01:41I think Francais one day will get a champion hurdle horse and he's very strong and he's

01:46got loads of class and he's a fantastic mummy and I love the horse, I really absolutely

01:54love the horse and I think he could be a top-class dual-purpose horse.

01:58A last-minute call from Gordon Elliott led to a €240,000 purchase for Tom Malone.

02:04It all happened in the last 40 minutes I'd say, but he loved the horse, I told him it

02:09was a lovely animal and I thought it would make a lot of money, sold it all as such a

02:13good stallion and he's soft ground farm, he's a big scope, he's a strong horse.

02:18So look, he ticked a lot of boxes and Gordon liked that.

02:21Aradonbreville only consigned two lots, with the second, Niagaro, also selling for €240,000.

02:28All this after a call just two weeks ago by a long-time client, Lars Wilhelm Baumgarten.

02:34It was the first time we were selling on the heat sale here.

02:38Very happy with the results, it was two really, really nice horses, Niagaro was an amazing

02:44walker and Weston physically was an outstanding horse, so very happy and we wish the best

02:52of luck to the new owner.

02:53The turnover for the record-breaking sale increased by 36%, with a clearance rate of

02:5894%.
