00:00
After the violent winds and torrential rain of last week the weather this week
00:05
a very different flavor much calmer colder with mist and fog likely to be
00:10
the biggest issue big swirl of cloud from Saturday that of course was storm
00:14
Darragh spiraled its way down away to the southeast now fizzled out and high
00:19
pressure has built in behind. It is still quite windy however notice still a lot
00:24
of isobars on the chart across the south not as damaging the winds but still
00:29
quite a cold feel and still generating quite a few showers actually over parts
00:33
of the eastern England's view across the Midlands coming into the southwest the
00:37
odd shower coming through but actually quite wet over parts of Essex and Kent's
00:41
through the rest of today. Further north it is dry largely clear skies some
00:46
sparkling sunshine across Scotland and Northern Ireland a cold air in place
00:50
here though so even though the winds are light we've got some sunshine
00:54
temperatures below average five or six Celsius. Further south well it may be a
00:58
degree or so higher but it's it'll probably feel colder because it's grey
01:02
it's gloomy we've got the showers we've got this really chilly wind continuing
01:06
to blow that'll keep the temperatures up a little bit overnight we'll continue to
01:10
feed some showers in Suffolk Essex across Kent and the greater London area
01:16
but elsewhere again away from the southeast it's looking dry through the
01:20
night clear skies across Scotland and Northern Ireland but clear skies here
01:24
may well allow some fog to form through parts of central and southern Scotland
01:28
and across Northern Ireland too. Temperatures really falling away as well
01:33
down to minus three minus four even in some towns and cities and rural spots
01:37
particularly across Scotland we could even get close to negative double
01:41
figures whereas for England and Wales more cloud keeping the temperatures up
01:44
and that breeze also keeping the temperatures up at five or six degrees
01:48
Celsius but it's gonna feel quite chilly again across the far south during
01:53
Tuesday showers feeding in across the southeast at times not as many showers
01:57
tomorrow so a better chance of a dry day certainly over the Midlands and
02:01
northeast England not many showers and even further south and east come the
02:04
afternoon those showers fading always some though moving in on that brisk
02:09
northeasterly wind over the Channel Isles. A lot of cloud for England and Wales but a
02:12
better chance of some sunny spells northwest Wales northwest England again
02:17
some sunshine for Scotland and Northern Ireland quite cloudy across the far
02:20
north and fog is likely to persist across parts of central Scotland
02:25
southern Scotland Northern Ireland if that fog does stick all day temperatures
02:29
are not going to get much above freezing in the sunny spells we should get up to
02:33
three four five Celsius across Scotland again six or seven further south so it's
02:38
warmer theoretically but feeling colder with the breeze and the cloud although
02:43
that wind will continue to ease down a little bit as we go through the day and
02:47
into the evening what's going to happen further north through the evening is
02:50
that fog is going to thicken up once more really quite dense that fog
02:54
expected through Tuesday night and into Wednesday especially so that's something
02:58
to be aware of throughout the rest of this week if you want a full week ahead
03:02
forecast well Aidan will have that for you on our YouTube channel by Monday

afternoon so make sure you hit subscribe
