00:00Hello. Tuesday is shaping up to be another cloudy day for many of us, and once again
00:05if you're hoping for sunshine, you need to be in the west and the north-west.
00:09If you're feeling the weather is a bit stuck at the moment, you'd not be wrong because
00:13the slow-moving area of high pressure which has been with us this weekend will stay as
00:17for the next few days, so we'll keep the settled but rather cloudy weather for a while yet.
00:22So on Monday evening, there will be some early sunshine, especially in the west and north-west,
00:27but elsewhere it's rather cloudy with some patchy drizzle in the east, and perhaps in
00:31parts of central England later in the night. There will be some clearer skies in sheltered
00:35parts of the west and north-west, and here we could see some patchy fog forming by morning,
00:39especially in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. In the coldest spots we could see
00:43temperatures as low as 4 or 5 degrees, but holding up in double figures underneath the
00:48cloud.
00:49So Tuesday will start cloudy for most of us with the best of any early sunshine in the
00:53west. There will be a few light drizzly showers around in central and eastern areas in the
00:58morning, but these should peter away for the afternoon with some bright spells developing.
01:02Once again the best sunshine will be in sheltered north-western parts where temperatures could
01:06reach highs of around 20 or 21 degrees, but really chilly along some North Sea coasts
01:12with a brisk northerly breeze.
01:14So whilst there will be a few sunny breaks on Tuesday evening, most of us are going to
01:18be stuck with rather cloudy skies, and there could be a few light drizzly showers in the
01:22east with a chilly breeze continuing along North Sea coasts.
01:27The next few days will be rather cloudy across England and Wales, although dry for most of
01:32us, with the best of any sunshine likely to be across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
