Hello there. Compared to last weekend, the weather has been very different during the
00:05
course of Saturday, with temperatures in the mid-twenties and a fair amount of cloud. And
00:10
the latest radar is showing a cold front sinking south, and that is bringing outbreaks of rain
00:15
across Northern Ireland and Northern England. And that band of cloud and rain continues
00:21
to sink southwards overnight tonight, reaching North Wales and the North Midlands by early
00:27
Sunday morning. It's also accompanied with some fairly windy conditions near Irish Sea
00:32
coastal areas. Overnight temperatures staying firmly in double figures certainly across
00:38
the south, although further north where we do see some clearer skies across Scotland,
00:42
those temperatures dipping into single figures in some rural spots. So it's largely a dry
00:49
start for many of us on Sunday morning, although clouds starting to spill in from the west
00:55
during the course of Sunday morning, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle reaching the
01:02
moors of the south west and Wales during the course of the afternoon. Temperatures close
01:07
to average for the time of year, with highs of 24 across the south and 20 across the north
01:13
of Scotland. So that cloud and rain across the west will continue to move eastwards overnight
01:21
Sunday, although further north we do see some clearing skies across Northern England and
01:26
Scotland, and a few isolated showers across the Western Isles. And that unsettled theme
01:32
continues into the new working week, with further areas of cloud and rain expected across
01:38
the country during the course of Monday and Tuesday, also becoming increasingly humid
01:43
across the south at times. There's also a hint that the weather may settle down a little
01:48
later in the week. Thank you for listening and please check our social media channels
01:52
for the latest updates. Bye for now.
