Canola grower from Osborne, Jason Webster, explains the difference between frost affected canola and what he should be expecting at this year's harvest.

00:00You can see there, that's a unfrosted canola pod, there's a couple of seeds missing but

00:08on the whole that's what we're after, but unfortunately the majority of the pods have

00:15been frozen and killed all the seeds inside them, so there's no chance of recovery that

00:22that pod's dead. If you look at the leaves, the majority of the pods are like that, so

00:32even though if you drive past and have a quick look they all look pretty healthy, but yeah

00:39you're just not going to recover any seed unfortunately.
