00:00We have some downpours still in Florida and also into Texas. So parts of the
00:04south facing some of these thunderstorms, even a couple of rogue
00:08strong to severe storms breaking out into parts of central texas. A little
00:11bit of relief from the recent heat there. But the main cluster of
00:16thunderstorms is affecting a lot of people still remains into the area
00:19around south and east of Tampa Bradenton Sarasota. Heavy thunderstorms
00:23increasingly intense here drifting across the area now just barely north
00:28of downtown Sarasota. And we also have a good deal of heavy rain up into
00:32the area around Disney and into Orlando and Deltona. So it's a very active
00:36time along and parallel to and generally near the interstate four
00:42corridor there from Tampa up into Orlando. Farther south, just mainly
00:46drier into Miami. We have some lingering showers here and there up
00:49into Jacksonville and a couple of small scale thunderstorms near Cape
00:53Sandblast and Port ST joe. Current temps in the southeast. It's not as
00:58hot as it had been before this front rolled in and we've really had a great
01:02week in the Carolinas in north Georgia, avoiding the big time heat. Showers
01:07have cooled us down a little bit in Jacksonville. We're at 77 degrees there
01:10now. Other areas to the west are heating back up yesterday morning.
01:14Little Rock, well north Little Rock officially got down to 60. It was a
01:18record low by three degrees for the date. But now we're back up to 94. So
01:23the heat is building quickly back into parts of Arkansas. So the storms that
01:26we talked about in florida, they're going to be with us here off and on
01:29through saturday. Look at the footage there from Milton. That was yesterday.
01:32Wind and rain, low visibility. You could hear the person saying it almost felt
01:37like they were near a tornado there. We will be dealing with more downpours
01:40like that in south florida tomorrow. Tonight we're going to see things kind
01:43of decrease de escalating. If you will, there may be a lingering shower or
01:48storm near Fort Myers or Miami, maybe even later on tonight. But for the most
01:52part to the north, it's just gonna be a nice night for good sleeping weather.
01:56Upper fifties in Raleigh, mid sixties in Atlanta, clear skies, the moon still
02:00pretty large and it's a waning gibbous right now. So you're gonna see some
02:04decent moonlight out there in the interior southeast saturday. Still
02:08story, but I really wanted to get to this future radar contrast and we're
02:11gonna press pause at five p.m. And look at this very wet to the south with only
02:15spotty storms to the north. And that's the general theme here this weekend.
02:19Generally wetter south with spottier storms farther north
