00:00The next question is, what is the reason for diesel and so on?

00:06I think we have to engage more with focus groups,

00:12with the non-Malay voters there, to understand their motivation of not

00:17coming out.

00:19But if you look at the level of support from the Malay voters,

00:23if it's true that diesel has a big impact on the vote,

00:32then you would have expected PN to actually increase their share of vote.

00:36But it didn't. It remains exactly the same. It's about 22-78.

00:41Last year, before there was diesel, it was like that. Now, after diesel, it's like that.

00:46So I think we have to look at everything in totality.

00:51So as it is now, if we were to conclude the motivation for the non-Malays

01:00not to turn up, lower turnout, is it diesel?

01:05Is it other issues?

01:06I think that's something that we have to get more data on.

01:10Although I also have to point out, actually,

01:13traditionally, in the PRK and state elections,

01:18the rate of non-Malays is always lower.

01:22That's why I think it's a bit like PRN Johor.

01:28PRN Johor, for example, in 2022, BN won big.

01:34Part of it is because the non-Malay voters didn't come out.

01:38But when it comes to PRU, about seven months later,

01:42the turnout came back, and they rebalanced the whole thing.

01:47So traditionally, non-Malay voters during PRK and PRN

01:54historically had a lower turnout than Malay voters.

01:59I think it's too early for us to conclude anything,

02:09because the parameters are quite clear.

02:11First, we are exactly as we were almost a year ago.

02:21Secondly, the issue is turnout.

02:23Then, of course, do we have enough information

02:26to say the non-Malays didn't turn out about diesel?

02:30I think that we need to go back and find out more.
