750 nuove piante a Torino con il progetto Arca Fondi e BPER

(Adnkronos) - Il quartiere Parella di Torino si arricchisce di 750 nuove piantine grazie all’intervento di forestazione realizzato con il sostegno di Arca Fondi SGR in partnership con il Gruppo BPER, nell’ambito del progetto Arca Oxygen Plus, e in sinergia con la Città di Torino.

00:00750 new plants will enrich the Parella neighborhood in Turin, thanks to the deforestation intervention

00:15carried out with the support of ARCA Fondi SGR in partnership with the BIPER group in the

00:19scope of the ARCA Oxygen Plus project in synergy with the city of Turin.

00:23The intervention concerned 5 adjacent areas located along the Appio Claudio course near

00:28Parco Pellerina, where the arboreal cover has come to be missing due to the high temperature

00:33and dryness stress. The project aims to consolidate the land to reduce the risk of soil erosion,

00:39increase the shaded areas and reduce the heat islands, mitigate the pollution levels of

00:44the area, increase biodiversity. The initiative is part of the Green Mosaic, a national campaign

00:49for the deforestation of green areas, recovery of aquatic land ecosystems and environmental

00:54regeneration, promoted by Zero CO2 and the Environment League.

00:58We are here today in Turin for a new stage of the Impact Investing Oxygen Plus initiative.

01:05It is a triennial project that involves the entire Italian peninsula. We went to plant 12,000

01:14trees to improve the ecosystem and give a factual and factual contribution to sustainability.

01:22A certified selection has been made of plants from local vineyards, and we have the most

01:28representative species, which are the white carp, the acerocampestre, the white thorn.

01:32They are all species that have a very high absorption potential of CO2 and particulate

01:37and subtle powders, located along one of the main roads that cross the city.

01:42These plants will be followed for two years with irrigation and infestation activities

01:47to ensure proper growth.

01:49Environmental protection is one of the main goals of the BIPER group and of ARCA Fondi SGR.

01:55On the local and national territory, we are committed to concrete projects like this,

01:59with which we share the values with ARCA. We are happy as a group to have contributed

02:05to making an important area of Turin more fruitful and livable.

02:15We have, among other things, a long-time partner, Consolidato, which has zero CO2,

02:20and then we share strategies with Lega Ambiente.

02:22This piece of land, which declines towards the Biocloud course,

02:26returns a quantity of biodiversity to the city, which is very important.

02:30We live in a period in which it is necessary for nature to enter our cities more.
