00:00 Are they now in poor position to finish 6th in the league? Of course results went for
00:05 them this weekend and that's kept them in 6th place. They're then done playing this
00:09 weekend but neither do Man United of course and neither of those teams will pick up any
00:12 points due to Man United being in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry. Newcastle's
00:17 next game which we'll come on to is against Crystal Palace but 6th place. Given the fact
00:23 that they've got a game in hand over West Ham, they've still got to play Manchester
00:26 United. Chelsea of course could be a little bit of a threat but you'd argue that Chelsea's
00:32 inconsistency this season would see them still drop some points somewhere. Cold Palmer seems
00:37 to be their only real outlet. So are Newcastle in poor position to finish 6th do you think?
00:43 6th or 5th? I say that jokingly but I was at the league table last night and I found
00:51 it astonishing that Newcastle play twice before Spurs next play and that's against
00:57 Arsenal in the North London Derby. So if Newcastle go and beat Crystal Palace, they go and beat
01:01 Sheffield United, they'll be four points behind 5th place Spurs who then go into a North London
01:07 Derby. Which can you imagine? Look I don't for one second think Newcastle will catch
01:12 Tottenham Hotspur. I think the games have probably run out for them. But I just find
01:16 it incredible that they actually have potential to put the pressure on. I link it back to
01:24 last season. Do you remember when Newcastle won a race to finish 4th and Liverpool started
01:28 to put a little bit of a run together? And it became a little bit nervy towards the end?
01:31 It did. I do wonder if there'll be a little bit in the back of Tottenham Hotspur's mind
01:36 thinking Newcastle are on form, we've got to watch our backs. I wonder if the pressure
01:40 will get them because Spurs have got some really really difficult remaining fixtures.
01:46 They've got Sheffield United and Burnley to play. And then the other four are against
01:50 Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and then I mentioned Arsenal there. So top five isn't out of the
01:58 question. I don't think it'll happen but I just think it just shows the sort of remarkable
02:05 progress and the change of feel about Newcastle's season that a couple of results can make.
02:11 Chelsea's key, they've been consistent since the return from the international break. Three
02:16 wins in a draw could have been four wins out of four if it wasn't for Paul Dumont's rugby
02:21 tattle which we've spoke about lots of times. So Newcastle are probably in that pack as
02:28 you mentioned there, the in-form team. The sixth place there's are in poor position.
02:34 I feel like they are. I think West Ham might drop off a little bit. There was a bar result
02:41 for them in the weekend against Fulham. They've got Balevacu using the second leg this week.
02:46 I think they'll probably go out there much, may actually kill them in many ways, their
02:50 motivation for the rest of the season. It could be a real bit uphill to swallow. And
02:54 then the deciding fixture really could be the game in hand against Manchester United.
