00:05 One of the saddest sentences that can ever be said

00:08 about an NFL football game.

00:10 Tim Boyle was benched for Trevor Simeon.

00:14 That is what the Jets said on Sunday

00:17 and they lost 13 to eight at home

00:20 as a one and a half point underdog

00:22 against the Atlanta Falcons.

00:24 So yesterday, there were multiple reports

00:27 that the Jets wanted to return to Zach Wilson

00:30 because he gives them their best shot,

00:32 better than Tim Boyle, better than Trevor Simeon.

00:36 Yeah, duh.

00:37 But still Zach Wilson is not all that illustrious.

00:40 The experiment for him as the face of the franchise

00:43 in New York has come to a close.

00:46 But good for Zach Wilson, Donnie,

00:48 standing up reportedly and saying,

00:50 "Eh, not too sure about that, guys.

00:53 "I've seen the quarterbacks get pressured

00:54 "the last couple of weeks.

00:56 "I'm focusing on my NFL future,

00:58 "not here for this Jets organization."

01:00 Head coach Robert Salah did dispute those reports

01:03 that Zach Wilson was iffy about playing quarterback again

01:07 for the Jets.

01:08 But Donnie, I don't really know if it matters.

01:11 I'm kind of team Zach Wilson.

01:13 You guys wanted me, then you threw me in the gutter,

01:16 and now you want me to come out of the ashes once again?

01:19 I'm good.

01:20 - Yes, and again, there's somebody really,

01:23 'cause as an NFL player, you have to have a thick skin here.

01:25 You know you're gonna get benched if you don't play well.

01:27 But also, when you're looking at Zach Wilson overall,

01:29 you say to yourself, "All right, you know what?

01:31 "It's one thing to be demoted to the backup quarterback.

01:34 "It's another thing, Ben, to be the third stringer,

01:36 "because that's embarrassing,

01:37 "which means you run scout team."

01:40 I don't even know if you get in the meetings

01:41 with the top two quarterbacks that week here.

01:43 And then when they laugh,

01:44 and you know who the good quarterbacks are,

01:46 you know in situations where you should be playing

01:48 over somebody, go, "Hey, look,

01:49 "we're embarrassing ourselves out here.

01:50 "Can you come back and maybe give us a competent point?"

01:53 And say, "What game plan are you putting in for me now

01:55 "when I come back and we get crushed

01:57 "by the Miami Dolphins or the Texans?"

01:59 And you go like, "Ah, yeah, we knew he couldn't play."

02:01 Back to Trevor Simien at this point.

02:03 It's kinda odd that he is saying,

02:04 "I don't wanna get back in there."

02:06 But I think everybody now who hated on Zach is like,

02:08 "You know what, Zach?

02:09 "Tell 'em, you don't wanna play

02:10 "in this whack system anymore."
