00:00As you look at those SEC championship odds, we got co-favorites in this conference.
00:04Texas plus 280, Georgia plus 280, Alabama in year number two under Kalen DeBoer,
00:10less than a 5-1 number at plus 490.
00:13There you see LSU at 7-1.
00:16There is no doubt this conference is going to be stacked once again.
00:20Three college football playoff teams from the SEC a year ago.
00:23We'll see how many they get into the second year of 12 in 2025.
00:27Yeah, a lot of competitiveness too because it doesn't feel like you have a runaway team.
00:32Like in the past with Nick Saban, it's like, okay, put them number one, put Georgia number two.
00:36We'll see where the cards fall at this point.
00:38Now you have Texas here.
00:38The expectations are, yes, we're in this conference.
00:41We're really good.
00:41And Arch Manning is our quarterback and rightfully so, probably the favorite.
00:45But then you look down there.
00:46It's the old Blue Bloods, man, always hanging around, right?
00:49Georgia, Alabama, LSU.
00:51Just the factor on how good you can be.
00:53But I just get digressed back to the original point.
00:55It's nice to understand that multiple teams in the SEC can have multiple losses
01:00and still make the college football playoff.
01:02I love that.
01:03I love that.
01:04You saw the eight and a half win total for LSU.
01:07The over a slight bit of juice.
01:08LSU is a nine and three team.
01:10They're going to have a great shot at an at-large berth to the college football playoff.
01:15DRS, the highest win total in the SEC belongs to Texas.
01:19It's nine and a half.
01:19The over is so heavily juiced at nearly minus two bills
01:23that they are expected to win 10 games.
01:25That, not correct.
01:26It's nine and a half at over minus 196.
01:29But minus 310 for the Longhorns to get to the college football playoff.
01:33They are national championship co-favorites alongside our reigning champs in the Ohio State Buckeyes.
01:39Of course, when you think of Texas, it starts with Arch Manning.
01:43Some bright spots last year in Austin.
01:46DRS might not agree that Arch Manning should be the Heisman favorite
01:50or the favorite to be that number one overall pick.
01:53I'm still pretty high on his talents.
01:56But outside of just Arch DRS, for me, what really is a staple this year under Steve Sarkeesian,
02:02defensive side of the football and Pete Kwiatkowski, who is that defensive coordinator.
02:07You've got Colin Simmons back along the defensive line.
02:11You've got Anthony Hill Jr., one of the best linebackers in the country,
02:14and a veteran, Safey, and Michael Taffey, who is back as well.
02:18Texas is loaded defensively and really good offensively as well.
02:23No doubt should be in that national championship conversation all year long.
02:28Yes, a couple tough games on the schedule.
02:30But here's what I also dislike as well.
02:32Like, you're going to have Texas.
02:33And let's just say you're a Texas fan.
02:34You're excited.
02:35You go to Ohio State game number one.
02:37That is awesome.
02:38That big Fox noon kickoff, everybody will be watching at the start of college football.
02:43Then Texas disappears from the football landscape for over a month.
02:47San Jose State, UTEP, Sam Houston.
02:50Don't know why we do this in college football.
02:52And it's a shame for the fans where, hey, three straight home games.
02:55Nobody cares about those long teams.
02:56Thanks.
02:56Thanks, guys.
02:57Thanks.
