00:02 So as we segue from the college basketball court over here to college football, we are

00:07 looking at the SEC and quite frankly, it's interesting just to say this, you know who's

00:11 the favorite to win the SEC Ben, next year, it's Georgia, the two to one price, you know

00:16 what's coming in close to them, Texas, what Texas in the SEC.

00:20 Yeah, welcome to the times are changing here.

00:22 They're at a three to one price here followed by Ole Miss and Alabama, Saban leaves and

00:27 they're a plus nine 50 price, my goodness, what's that four times what they typically

00:31 are.

00:32 Talk to me about about the SEC college football season next year with Texas as a favorite

00:38 to win the SEC.

00:40 Donnie, this was one of the things that I look forward to the most in conference realignment

00:45 seeing how those conference championship odds would stack up because for the previous four

00:50 to five years, maybe even longer with the SEC East versus the SEC West.

00:56 It was Georgia and or Alabama as a short favorite with the other team in that scenario being

01:02 just a couple of cents or maybe a dollar or so behind, then we would get a drop off is

01:08 their value in the SEC West on an LSU on a Texas a&m could a Kentucky or a Tennessee

01:15 or a Florida on seat, Georgia in the SEC East, those days are done.

01:21 Those days are done and with the addition of Oklahoma and Texas, the SEC looks a lot

01:27 different.

01:28 Alabama doesn't even have the second best price.

01:31 The Crimson Tide don't even have the third best number to win the SEC and there will

01:36 be a pathway not just based on divisional dominance, but just the two best winning percentages

01:42 in conference play to get to that SEC title game in early December in Atlanta.

01:48 If we were to follow the odds, despite it being the Longhorns inaugural season in the

01:53 Southeast conference, they would play for a conference championship against Georgia.

01:58 We factored that in to the college football playoff conversation that we learned last

02:02 week five plus seven, the winner of the SEC will earn one of those automatic births to

02:08 a college football playoff.

02:11 That is just how the landscape will look in college football, but you do not necessarily

02:17 have to be unbeaten or have boss, not in the gauntlets that will be the conference slates

02:24 in both the SEC and the big 10, but just to get to the game to earn that automatic birth.

02:31 And if you're in the game, you will certainly be at play for an at large bid, very different

02:37 than a season ago where Georgia lost for the first time in nearly 30 games to Alabama.

02:44 And because Georgia had one loss in an SEC championship game against a college football

02:50 playoff team, the Bulldogs did not make the CFP a very different environment and conversation

02:58 next year in 2024.

02:59 Yeah, my times change here in the SEC.
