00:13off so cooper flag makes his debut in the nba summer league as i just mentioned he took a lot

00:26of shots he did not make a lot of shots but it's his first game it's a rookie got to get him a little

00:30pass for that i believe it was over five from three point range but a lot of people on hand said

00:35looked really good of course now he's going to get his chance to chop it up with the dallas mavericks

00:40this upcoming season after the game was over of course he met with the media and talking about

00:45getting those little jitters out of the way for his first game i mean you know the coaches had a lot of

00:51confidence in me they tell me they want me to you know experiment try some new things um i was

00:56trying to be aggressive and that's new for me too um you know i would say it might be one of the worst

01:00games of my life but now we got the win so that's what really matters to me um you know my teammates

01:05miles ryan jordan and you know they held it down to do what they have to do um so i'm just glad we

01:10got the win what was your first time you said what first time right yeah no i mean i've been

01:16ryan's been there for the last couple weeks and ryan's he's great he's a great player um he has such a

01:21great feel for the game so i love playing with him uh it's been it's been a fun couple weeks

01:24for you personally what are some things you can uh take away from your first guys yeah just gotta

01:29just gotta find a rhythm uh i was really i just couldn't really get into my rhythm um you know

01:33it's a different environment you know i think it's obviously very different college it's probably

01:38very different from what you know the real NBA is going to be like so you know just trying to find

01:41a rhythm you know figure it out it's a new team environment so i'm not necessarily worried but um

01:46obviously just not happy with how it went but you know at the end of the day we did get the win so

01:49missed a lot of shots but still again first game ever can't really get too upset all right guess

01:56who else is playing in the NBA summer league and believe it or not they went head to head

01:59brawny james although head to head's probably a little bit far-fetched considering cooper flags a

02:04much taller player than brawny james brawny talked about having to defend him a little bit in their matchup

02:10yesterday just making sure i'm holding my ground i got like a half a foot on me so uh you know

02:18just trying to you know stay my ground what'd you think cooper flag overall it was great i mean

02:24i watched the ball in college he was an amazing player so i have the most respect for him he's

02:29you know gotta be something special for sure um atmosphere in vegas is always incredible i mean

02:36i've came and watched some games when i'm you know i haven't been in the league yet so uh it's always you

02:40you know crazy atmosphere here in the last two years or a year i've been here it's been amazing so

02:46um really grateful for it
