00:02 The problem for the Packers
00:04 is that they're not getting David Bakhtiari
00:06 back anytime soon because they announced
00:07 on game day Thursday, yesterday,
00:09 that he was going on the IR.
00:11 And there's rumors that he could miss the entire season.
00:14 So we're not sure when he's going to get back
00:16 his stud tackle.
00:17 And they were not able to keep that pass rush off of him.
00:22 And the key thing about,
00:24 like you could talk about the Green Bay Packers,
00:25 but this is true for a lot of teams in the NFL.
00:27 'Cause so many teams, the mindset is starting
00:30 these quarterbacks younger.
00:31 So you got a lot of young quarterbacks across the league.
00:34 And earlier today, I tweeted out, Scott,
00:36 the average, sorry, the total margin of points
00:39 that teams are up or down by at halftime.
00:42 And it's surprising how a lot of these teams
00:45 with the younger quarterbacks are falling
00:47 in such big deficits at halftime
00:50 that they really have no way
00:51 to dig themselves back out of it.
00:53 The key that a lot of these coaches of some teams
00:56 that have younger quarterbacks, less experienced quarterbacks
00:59 like Young or in Carolina, like Bryce Love,
01:03 like Jordan Love here in Green Bay,
01:05 and a variety of other teams around the league,
01:07 even teams like Daniel Jones with the New York Giants,
01:10 the Atlanta Falcons with Desmond Ritter.
01:12 These coaches, they don't want their quarterbacks
01:14 throwing the ball at time.
01:15 They know their quarterbacks don't have the experience
01:17 to read defenses.
01:18 They don't want them reading defenses all game long
01:20 and trying to figure it out.
01:22 So they try to support them by running the football.
01:24 But the problem is if you run the football
01:26 and you're getting stuffed
01:28 and you're giving the other team good field position
01:30 and they don't have to drive as far to score points,
01:32 and then they are scoring those points,
01:34 you are going to be down.
01:36 And everything that you wanted to do,
01:37 which is to limit my quarterback from having to pass the ball
01:40 now you can't do whatsoever
01:42 because you're down in the second half
01:43 and you have no option but to just sit back
01:45 and predictably pass the football.
01:47 So you really do need some of these teams
01:51 like Arthur Smith down in Atlanta
01:53 or like Matt LaFleur here in Green Bay.
01:55 They got to come up with some better,
01:57 I don't want to call it trick plays,
01:58 but scheme some things early in the game
02:00 in the great game script
02:02 to break off some big explosive plays.
02:04 Get some spark here to move the ball easier,
02:07 to make life easier on your quarterback
02:09 so that in the second half,
02:10 he's not dropping back to pass down double digits
02:12 in predictable situations.
02:15 - So yeah, I mean, he even said it after the game, Love.
02:18 He's like, "We start slow and it's just."
