00:36Brooks and because of it the 10th overall pick come on Malawatch are headed to the Valley for

00:42the Phoenix Suns official yesterday Kevin Durant DRS now officially a Houston Rocket I like to move

00:49for the Phoenix Suns and also Houston Houston thinks they're in that you know championship mode do I

00:53think it's going to turn into a championship no I don't I thought they're on a really good path but

00:57they are a better team right now than they were before they made that trade which means you're

01:01pressing the end you're pressing those chips in the middle of the table over the next two to three

01:05years to see what you can get out of Kevin Durant but also Phoenix it was understood they just needed

01:09a jump start they tried new ownership comes in blows out the coaching staff let me take control of this

01:14let me get superstars in here let me get my own big three it didn't work tore it all down that's what

01:17you're supposed to do don't ride this thing out to see if it's going to work we already know it didn't

01:50to 10 was a big deal man that's a guy that was probably supposed to go anywhere between

01:53five six seven or eight goes to 10 that's a big upside there for Phoenix and the Suns made another

01:59trade on draft night moments before asking Houston to select Valley watch for them with that 10th

02:05overall pick and the acquisition of the big man Mark Williams DRS there is no doubt the two and a

02:11half seasons that Kevin Durant spent in Phoenix were not as successful as everybody had hope pushing all

02:17of their chips in forming a big three if you want to call it that KD D book and Bradley Beal the

02:24farthest they got was that first half season with Kevin Durant now three NBA seasons ago making it to

02:31the second round but clearly having some balance in depth issues they got ousted in the opening round

02:37last year in this most recent NBA season a disaster missing out on the playoffs and being well below

02:43500 again Kevin Durant will be 37 years old in September before this upcoming NBA season even

02:51begins but he is still performing at an all-star level he is still averaged at least 26 points as

02:57he did this previous year in the last seven seasons he has been on the floor of course missed a full season

03:03after rupturing his Achilles in the NBA postseason in his final year with the Golden State Warriors but

03:10DRS he is still a needle mover he is still the easy money sniper he is still one of the best and

03:15most consistent scorers in the NBA the question now of course this trade becoming official yesterday

03:22after a week of free agency moves around the NBA last week how does it elevate the ceiling in Houston

03:29a team that you served up a Rockets referendum on a season ago the two seed after 52 wins in the

03:37Western Conference to lose in seven games in round number one to the Golden State Warriors if the

03:43two seed that it battled through 82 games to earn that position throughout the entirety of a regular

03:49season could not even take advantage of it in the playoffs despite having home floor advantage

03:54booked as an underdog in their series against Golden State what's the point of the NBA regular season

04:00well now the question DRS is can Kevin Durant in Houston make the regular season whatever but the

04:07postseason a greener pasture in H-Town yeah it's it's you know a question that's going to need to be

04:13answered the reason I say that is you look at Kevin Durant's career is he one of the best players in

04:16the NBA yes he is where did he win championships with an absolutely maybe the single most talented team

04:22in the history of the NBA outside of that how many championships does he have zero it was a

04:28disaster in Brooklyn it was a disaster in Phoenix so now I'm led to believe that he's not with a

04:34super team in Houston but that's going to now finally equate to Kevin Durant being years older

04:39but somehow better in this spot Houston has a good base base for a team there's no doubt about that

04:44but for me it's like all right is it fun for the fans we'll get to cheer it on like you don't just

04:49say like Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh they know they're probably not winning a championship but hey you

04:53know what this is going to be interesting to watch here I can't wait to tune in and watch Steelers

04:55football same way for Houston I just don't think it equates to a championship and why am I proven

05:00right well we'll find out over the next two to three years but again just looking at the previous

05:04seasons under Kevin Durant absolute banger star-studded all-star team championships outside of that no
