To establish this ranking, the American consulting firm Mercer analyzed 200 everyday products (housing, transportation, food, clothing, household goods and recreation) in more than 400 cities around the world.
The cost of living and housing for expatriates was therefore taken into account, but not the costs of
education and health care.
