Plans are moving forward to introduce a free public transport pilot in Glasgow. The council is now seeking to hire a contractor to design the pilot. Options for free travel in the city will be looked at as well as how other areas have rolled out schemes without fares.

A Glasgow business has bagged a six figure fee to commercialise tech turning waste coffee grounds into a product useful for the manufacture of new goods. Revive Eco will use the cash to extract high-value, natural chemicals from coffee grounds to create a palm oil alternative that can be used across the cosmetics, home cleaning, pharmaceutical, and food and drink sectors.
