  • last year
The constituency MSP for Glasgow Pollock Humza Yousaf is to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as leader of the SNP and become Scotland’s First Minister after winning a party vote.

He beat Kate Forbes and Ash Reagan for the position, and will be Scotland’s first Muslim and ethnic minority leader.

Next up, police have found a body in the water at Speirs Wharf in the Port Dundas area of the city.

Responding to an emergency call at around 5:45pm on 27 March, officers made the discovery, and investigations are now being carried out.

And finally, a PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian is searching for people who identity as ‘neds’ to take part in research aiming to give them a voice.

Gavin Brewis believes the culture has been dismissed by academia because of its working class nature.

The study will involve exploring participants experience and response to stereotypes.
