A street outside Glasgow Central Station was closed by police after debris fell from a building.

An area between Renfield Street and Hope Street was cordoned off as a building was deemed potentially unsafe.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene with an Ariel appliance to ensure public safety.

Next up, Glasgow libraries are set to become warm banks ahead of the coming cold weather.

The council’s Welcome Places initiative seeks stigma free solutions to the cost of living crisis following an increase in fuel prices.

From October, all 23 community libraries will be joining the initiative where activities and refreshments will be available to the public.

And in other news, the OVO Hydro, Glasgow’s biggest concert venue, is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The venue has hosted a number of huge shows since its opening including Elton John, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Bette Midler, with over 10 million attendees.
