A man from Greenock has admitted to impersonating a nurse at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

28-year-old Lee Woods wore an NHS uniform and badge between March and July 2023.

The charge says Woods repeatedly attended the resuscitation and children’s areas during this period.

Next, more than 300 trees were brought down around Glasgow by recent storms, Glasgow City Council has confirmed.

A clean-up is now underway to clear pathways and roads to ensure they are safe for the public.

The council said the extreme weather has caused excessive damage to trees and wildlife in the area.

And finally, Glasgow band Belle and Sebastian have curated a two-day festival at the SWG3 showcasing both established and emerging talent which will take place this summer.

They will headline the event on both days and it will include DJs and street food.
