The WHO has welcomed updates from companies racing to develop a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine but it remain cautious,... saying it's "going to take time" before one is widely available.
It said Wednesday that older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions appear more likely to develop serious illness upon contracting COVID-19.
It called on developers to document the safety of a vaccine with full data and take more time to gather evidence if needed.
