The U.S. Senate is planning a swift approval of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court,... after President Donald Trump nominated her as his pick to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Saturday.

Mok-yeon, the Republican-controlled Senate plans to swiftly complete the confirmation process of conservative Barrett.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman, Lindsey Graham said on Saturday evening that the committee would hold a hearing for opening statements on October 12th, which would be followed by three to four days of questions and testimony.
He added he hopes to finish the hearing process and approve Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court by the week of October 26th.
Democrats are highly opposed to a hasty decision.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden are insisting Trump is in a hurry to confirm the Supreme Court nominee in order to overturn the 2010 health care law passed by former President Barack Obama.
