Following the cancelation of the APEC summit in Chile, U.S. President Donald Trump says he will press ahead with plans to sign a limited trade truce with Chinese President Xi Jinping at a new venue.
Trump tweeted on Thursday that the two sides are "working on selecting a new site" to sign the Phase One of Trade Agreement … which Trump says is 60 percent of the total deal.
He emphasized he and his Chinese counterpart will be there to sign the agreement.
According to Bloomberg, however, Chinese officials have said in private conversations that they won't budge on the critical issues, …and that they are concerned about Trump's impulsive nature.
