The U.S. Senate voted to override President Donald Trump's veto of the country's defense bill.
The final vote on Friday was 81 to 13,...significantly more than the two-thirds majority needed.
It's the first time lawmakers have overturned a presidential veto in the four years since Trump took office.
Trump had vetoed the bill,.. saying it extends the legal exemption for tech firms from being liable for what is posted on their websites by them or third parties.
Following the bipartisan rebuke,...Trump turned to his supporters via Twitter,...saying a protest is planned on Wednesday when the Congress officially certifies Democrat Joe Biden's presidential victory.
